“A personal little gem in Pernera”

Stayed at this little gem one-two weeks every year between 2008-2021. Loved the place, staff and the locals so much that I ended up buying my own little place in the nereby Kapparis. Cannot find anything negative to say, many recurrent guests - clean rooms all facing the beautiful sea, calm and clean beach, nice breakfast, affordable and tasteful evening bufféts, quiet area (when not construction of the new marina is ongoing), short stroll to the main street of Pernera with a lot of restaurants to choose from (i.e La Cultura del Gusto - if there is meat in heaven it will taste like this). Also not far to Protaras (aprox. 3 km) - just hop on the bus or take a walk by the seaside. So don't hesitate - just book it, you'll not regret it! Even though I'm located in Kapparis now, I'm still keep visiting the hotel now and then for their evening bufféts!

This is the fourth time we went to Cyprus to stay at the Myro Androu Beach Hotel Apartments in Protaras. Once again, we were not disappointed in the least. We like to go there when we are looking for sun, sand and a few easy days off from the same old routines. The weather was fantastic (around 27 C, nice breeze) and the sea was refreshing but not cold. The sandy beaches, which are directly in front of the hotel, were clean and not overpopulated and the water was also crystal clear and inviting. The pool and its bar were also still a very nice hang out spot and although the hotel was rather occupied, sun beds around the pool were always available. We still liked to eat at the restaurant because of its location overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, as well as the really excellent quality to price ratio. The shaded seating and the friendly waiters also make it an easy choice every time. The rooms were as clean as ever. The kitchenette offered a big fridge we liked a lot, as it kept everything we bought on premises at the super market plenty cold. Overlooking the ocean, we really enjoyed a beverage before and after dinner. The same owners who are running this family-owned business greeted us warmly and their staff helped us plan excursions to see the island was always very friendly. as well. Once again this was money and time well spent and we will return for a nice escape from reality again.

We have just returned from a fabulous three-week holiday at Myroandrou, having spent a week there a few years ago. We booked the accommodation directly with the hotel (21 days was far too difficult for our local travel agent to cope with!), and another agent then sorted the flights and transfers for us. Once we had emailed Myroandrou confirmation of our flight booking, they asked for no money from us until we paid in full upon checking out - we did try to at least pay a deposit! It appears that all of Myroandrou's clean and spacious apartments are sea-facing with a good-sized balcony or terrace. Our bed was MASSIVE and very comfortable, the kitchen was very well-equipped (not that we used anything other than glasses), and the apartment also contained two large sofabeds along with everything else we may have needed. The setting is fabulous, with a choice between the hotel pool and a municipal beach. We went for the bed and buffet breakfast option as we don't really want much for lunch and prefer not to be tied to an all-inclusive buffet every night. That said, we did eat Bloo's themed buffet when they were serving Cypriot and/or Greek dishes. In addition, we ate from their a la carte menu a few times - also good; I would recommend the pork fillet in particular. Staff are all friendly and helpful, taking good care of us the entire time, especially the ladies on reception, the restaurant manager and the lovely gentleman at the pool bar. We will definitely be back, probably once the new marina is completed. Thank you for having us Myroandrou! #455, 2-22 August :)

The location - right on the Kalamies Beach - makes this hotel a perfect beach holiday destination. Just make sure you go bathing or swimming in the left side of the lagoon as it has clean sandy seabed, the part on the right is full of sharp rocks just under the water's surface and it's just too dangerous. Our apartment was big enough for 2 people to comfortably enjoy their holiday. The balcony was very big and offered great views of the sea and the surroundings. The only minus - no shade on the balcony until almost noon. We were there in early October, when the sun is much lower, so that was only an issue in the mornings, but we can imagine it could be scorchingly hot during summer months. We were in Building D, the most left part of the hotel complex, and if you're after quiet evenings avoid this building - right next to it is another hotel with outside functions area which plays hosts to weddings, birthday parties and company events. The music is very loud, starts around 6-7 pm and doesn't stop until at least 10 pm. During our 11-day stay they had events every second night. The hotel restaurant is called Bloo. It's nothing fancy, but the meals are good. We had Halfboard option so we ate breakfasts and dinners there. Not a huge variety of dishes for dinner, but always enough quantity and we always had several choices which were to our taste. Same with breakfasts. And there are plenty of utensils there (some hotels run out of them quickly). The only disappointment - very poor choice of fruit (basically it was only apples, melons and watermelons). Andreas, the elderly floor manager at the restaurant, is Pure Class. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We had a small electrical issue one night with some buzzing sound coming from the fuse box in the apartment. We did let know the receptionist about that as we were going to dinner, and the problem was fixed before we returned to the room. There's a small supermarket at the hotel - fairly good choice of food and drinks as well as plenty of "beach stuff", not cheap but open every single day. Lots of other supermarkets within a 5-10 minute walk. Several restaurants close by. Ample free parking at the hotel makes for worry-free parking if you come with a car.
