“Trip of a lifetime ✨️”

“March 2025 1 week stay”
We have been here for 2 days now and have 5 more to go. We are very happy with the resort, it is huge and lots to see. Food is fantastic, love Dominican coffee so very good!!! Special shout out to Angelo and Ashley in Concierge who got our a la carte scheduling all sorted out.

“Cofresi, not expensive but needs updating and better organization.”
A large resort with another attached. Our room was large enough with a great balcony but lacking other furniture. A very old TV had extremely poor reception and the converter had no batteries. A large resort with another attached. Our room was large enough with a great balcony but lacking other furniture. A very old TV had extremely poor reception and the converter had no batteries. Beds are a bit on the hard side with thin covers but the ac works well. We went to 5 of the pools. Two were in desperate need of a painting but the other 3 were fine. Bar service was good everywhere. A shuttle takes a route around the resort which was handy to get to Tropical (the attached resort). Food is better there and that's where there was entertainment at 9:30 each night. Cofresi tries to push the VIP package but even VIP guests had room complaints. You get more opportunity to book sit down restaurants with it and a few areas are VIP only (but not many). Puerto Plata has brown sand beaches and there are quite a few waves making it almost impossible to kayak or any other activity. If you walk the beach there is a lot of seaweed further away but the area beside the resort isn't too bad. There are a lot of unnecessary rules about towels and the safe key is ridiculous. Very old fashioned, hard to pull out when locked. If you are only looking to sit by a pool and have a few drinks it's ok but lower your expectations for your room or entertainment (very amaturish).
