We always have the best time here because of the staff. Fresita, Looky looky and Pantera are amazing entertainers who always make sure you are having a great time during the day and at the night shows. Pitbull, Browlio the aqua fit instructor, and the DJs also made our experience so much better, always engaging everyone by the pool. All the restaurants are very good. We love the environment and people here!!!

Last year, my husband and I decided to have our wedding in Punta Cana at the Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites resort. Back then, we were introduced to our wedding planner Keila Reynoso, who would be responsible for organizing the entire ceremony and party. And luckily for us, we had the best wedding planner in the world!!! From the very first minute, Keila, who always has a beautiful smile on her face, was impeccable in every way. Efficient, intelligent, attentive, empathetic, cheerful and very, very patient with us throughout the entire process. I have no words to describe how wonderful she was. And, as expected, everything turned out exactly as we wanted. The ceremony was beautiful, the party impeccable, everything was meticulously organized by Keila. She took care of every detail and treated us with so much care that we have no words to describe it. Simply wonderful. We can only thank her! It was perfect! Renata and Lucas.

“Beautiful Vacation-Paradise!”

This is the 17th year in a row that my husband and I have been to this resort in Punta Cana. We fell in love with the resort from the first visit and continue to love the whole experience! This is our Paradise! We visited the Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites for 17 days, 1/20-2/6/25! The rooms are wonderful and cleaned daily! We had a few problems with the safe and water temperature in the shower, but all were corrected promptly. The restaurants are amazing, and fun! The food is exceptional, and the service is excellent! It is a delight to try all the different options. Dinner reservations can be a problem make them as soon as you can. The dinner reservations were never an issue, not sure why it has changed but this something the resort can address and hopefully fix! The Breakfast Buffet is always a lovely way to begin the day! The Beach Buffet for lunch in ridiculously delicious! The Buffets offer something for everyone! The Lobby Bar is so fun! The bar staff works very hard at taking care of the masses of people and their drink orders and they do it with a smile! The Star Cafe is a fun stop for a coffee or a snack! The evening shows are always fun and entertaining! Shout out to the Star Friends that work very hard for our enjoyment! The weather, the resort, the grounds, and the beaches are beautiful but the most beautiful are the staff, we refer to them as our friends and family! I want to recognize a few very special friends at the resort who are our friends now! Pablo my amazing star friend, you are so kind and know how to make a vacation fun!!! Grisselle, Eric, Yoseline, and Esterin amazing at Beach Buffet for lunch, so helpful! Thank you for having our table set and ready for us before we arrived and for a party of 6, this was amazing!!! Ernestina and the Beach Bar, you are lovely and so kind, thank you for helping us with seating and tables! Leidi, Francis, Reuben, Manuel, and Ruth at the main lobby bar you are all so special and excellent at all you do!! Huge gratitude to Daniel, Joann, and Santanna who went above and beyond to check in with us to make sure our vacation is all we hoped it would be. I cannot express how dear and how special you are to us! We cannot wait to return in 2026!!

“Great Resort”

We have been few times to the other two adjacent Iberostar sections recently renamed Waves Dominicana and Waves Punta Cana so we knew what to expect from the Selection Bavaro. It did not disappoint. We have been few times to the other two adjacent Iberostar sections recently renamed Waves Dominicana and Waves Punta Cana so we knew what to expect from the Selection Bavaro. It did not disappoint. The accommodation in the 8 room villas, scattered around tropical "forest" of palms was very nice. All grounds are well kept and clean. Winding walkways all around. Few ponds here and there. There was never a problem finding a chair on the beach or at the pool at any time of the day. Great advantage of this resort comparing to many others in Punta Cana including 5 star resorts. Big thank you to resort management! The food was very good in both buffet restaurants, and we used ala carte only once in the whole week. The service in restaurants was also great. Very fast in cleaning, preparing tables, serving coffee or drinks. Lots of space to seat. Both buffets are open air with covered roof, which added to the enjoyment, morning or evening. There is a coffee shop open 24/7 with all kinds of coffees, pastries, sandwiches etc. Needless to say we were daily customers there. Bars were a bit disappointing. Most of the time there was no music and generally bars were understaffed, resulting in excessive time waiting for a drink. Tipping did not seem to make a difference and actually very few people tipped. Entertainment during a day was average but not really promoted, and required being proactive to find what was happening and when. The resort uses app for checking program, restaurant menus etc, but often did not reflect reality. Some activities were not happening, some suddenly popped up unannounced. The entertainment is actually a bit weak point of this resort including evening theatre shows. There is general lack of music and live band appeared only twice. Some shows were pretty good ("Queen", "Boogie Night"), mainly because the live band was there. You can also go to Waves section, but it was not much better. Not how we remember it from previous visits. The beach was of course fantastic, and the weather too. Long walks on the beach and playing with waves were the highlight of this trip. For those with kids, there was a waterpark right by the pool and ice cream shop right beside. No serious slides there, more suitable for 6-10 year olds. Resort had also quite active Star Camp for kids of different ages which seemed to be very popular. We had a great time on our vacation and will definitely return.
