We stayed at Le Sivory for five days in the middle of march as the coronavirus was just starting to reach North America. There were not many travellers and we almost felt like we had the place to ourselves. However the staff still pulled out all the punches to make our stay amazing. The hotel room is modern and spotless with a beautiful rain shower bathroom and comfortable bed. The pool was clean and pleasant to swim in. We also used the gym daily which was quite good for a resort. We ate all our meals at the buffet which offered a wonderful array of tasty options three times a day. The staff were attentive and friendly and although their English was limited (as was our Spanish) we managed to feel attended at every meal. The only disappointment was that the ocean was quite rough every day of our stay. I am not sure if this is just the time of year we travelled but I would have liked to swim in the ocean. As our vacation came to an end the Island actually declared a state of Emergency due to the global pandemic the staff never made us feel rushed as we came to our last day and treated us with top notch service, helping us secure transportation to the airport (as many companies stopped driving). Sadly they were all getting sent home indefinitely as the hotels were closing. We really enjoyed our stay at Le Sivory and wish everyone there to stay safe and hope to see you again when everything is over and travle becomes safe again.

6 months later and world pandemic and we find ourselves looking back to the best weekend of our lives. And wishing we could go back to it. I’ve never been a girl that had her entire wedding or even bits of it planned for that matter but all i knew was i wanted a beach wedding. That was my only must, everything else was a plus. Coming from a big and loud family i knew i wanted to make our wedding a big party for us and everyone in our family. What started as a rough idea of a destination wedding in the Dominican Republic ended up with the best weekend planned at Le Sivory Punta Cana. After extensive research and many emails with different (if not all) hotels in the area, my mom found this little beautiful gem of a place. Everything about the hotel was breathtaking including the attentions from all the staff. We went 2 months before the wedding to check the place in person (everything was already booked we just wanted an excuse to go). People actually remembered our orders and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. But back to wedding planning. After a weekend was picked (cause yes we partied all weekend) it just came down to figuring out the details. Because we had so many people coming (we had all but 3 rooms booked) we wanted to make it a fun weekend. We started with a welcome dinner by the pool Friday night with karaoke and a bon fire. Beach ceremony, pool side cocktail hour followed by reception and dancing (and fireworks) on Saturday. And ended the weekend with a foam pool party Sunday. All the events were beautifully decorated, setup and tended to. The food and service both during wedding events and normal hours were exceptional. It was an awesome weekend that required a lot of preparation and planning ahead but it was so worth it! Our planning started in March for a mid Oct wedding (some people might say that wasn’t enough but we pulled it off!). I feel bad for admitting this but there was no time that i would text my awesome wedding planner that he wouldn't respond. We were so in-sync throwing ideas back and forth that it made the entire experience so much easier. He got my vision and theme so well that his suggestions were very spot on. He also made sure I stayed on budget. Little to say that for someone that had no idea what she wanted, it was spectacular and all of our guests kept complimenting the hotel for its beauty, quality of food and service as well as how beautiful and awesome all the events turned out. If I had to pick a downside it was that we couldn't celebrate for a week!! But seriously the only thing that we couldn't fully plan for was the rain but when i picked the date i knew this was a risk (end of hurricane season). But even with that, the team was so quick to act and readjust everything when it started raining during the reception that the disruption was minimal. As they say, a rainy wedding is a sign of good luck and thats how i took it! We had the best time of our lives and thats all that matters. When I say the service was amazing, believe it cause my father in law had never left the states and to this date he keeps praising the hotel, the staff and the quality of all of the events. I cant thank the team enough for all the love and attention and im hoping we can come back soon and enjoy this beautiful place again. If we could do it all over again we wouldn't change a thing!

My mother and stayed 10 days at this resort and loved it. It is a small resort that was perfect for a relaxing vacation. The accommodations were clean and comfortable the staff were excellent very friendly very accommodating. being a small resort everything was nearby. We met interesting people from all over the world, who were looking for the same experience of a calm relaxing environment. we loved how our accommodations were set up it was very private and we had our own sitting area outside to relax. They were many things we loved about the resort, the food was very good, they tried very hard to give us a variety of choices, The entire resort was very clean and well-kept, it was easy to find space by the pool and the beach, and the views were spectacular. But, our favorite part of the resort were the staff, they were so friendly and really went out of their way to accommodate any request. Everyone was so friendly from the reception staff to the dining staff to the groundskeepers. This resort may not be for everyone, there was no loud parties or music by the pool, and in the evening there was no entertainment other than a saxophone or piano player near the bar. For us, this was paradise!

My husband and I stayed at the resort at the end of February and enjoyed a week of quiet and calm in this boutique all inclusive resort. The food was terrific, the staff even more so. We particulalry enjoyed their attention to detail - we arrived in our room to champagne and chocolate covered strawberries for our anniversary. We got to know staff over the the week and they anticipated our needs. A big shout out to Jaun-Felipe and Jube! I felt like we were the only people on the beach. No crowds! We went on a few excursions and saw how crowded other resorts were so we really appreciated the quiet of Le Sivory. I don't usually like to go back to the same place on a vacation but I would most definitely go back to Le Sivory! One suggestion - when you arrive, ask when the restaurants are open so you can make a reservation. The asian a la carte restaurant is only open a few days. The only reason for 4 vs 5 stars is some of the beach cushions and room cushions could be replaced. Thank you to the staff at this fabulous resort for a wonderful week away!

Never been on an all inclusive so wasn’t sure what to expect, except we knew we ought to tip staff after reading reviews. And we did so, every day because they were amazing, especially the waiters and waitresses. I think they must have to buy their own uniforms as some of them looked threadbare, or no longer fitted them (the food is exceptional!) and that must be one perk of working there. They worked incredibly long hours but always with a smile and a graciousness. The staff were the best thing about this place. Now for a few annoyances. The hotel itself was a bit rundown especially our apartment. While the bed was very comfortable the bathroom tiles in the shower and toilet were mouldy and tiles were cracked and grout was falling off the walls. It wasn’t five star by any means. Also some of the sunbeds around the pool were falling apart with ripped covers, always covered in sand or water after the rain. Never cleaned - I think that needs attention. The pool by the bar in the lobby needs work, it looks quite shabby and the spa also felt grubby especially the pool water. It was cleaned because I got splashed by bleach when someone was washing the path coming out the gym and my yoga pants got ruined. However, after my grumbling we both agreed that the food was really delicious even in the regular buffet. There was so much choice. Drink is abundant and while you get the same wine every day, it’s tasty. The beach is lovely but it was a bit wild to swim while we were there. Beware the sand flies. The hotel was sprayed every day to control bugs, but that meant there were no butterflies or bees or anything alive on the pretty plants, which felt a bit like overkill. I would recommend the place because the staff made it such an enjoyable experience - it just needs a little upgrade, which might now have happened during lockdown.
