From the very warm welcome on arrival to comfortable rooms, le Chantilly is a wonderful small hotel not far from the water and with easy access to everything on the coast. A quiet retreat to return to after a day of sightseeing. I brought a small group (17) of high school students here, and it was a great location to spend our last couple of days in Europe.

I booked a twin room last minute for the horse racing without realising I had stumbled on a gem ! A really lovely family run hotel. The owners were extremely pleasant and helpful and the room was very clean and comfortable. Easy walk to the beach and right next to the racecourse so perfect for me. Not only that the price was very reasonable in comparison to others. I’ll be coming back!

“Fabulous find”

Just left this gorgeous intimate French style hotel. Didn't want to leave. From check in to check out everything was perfect for myself and my 8 year old son. Just left this gorgeous intimate French style hotel. Didn't want to leave. From check in to check out everything was perfect for myself and my 8 year old son. We arrived late on wed 26th Sept at 10pm in the evening. Although the reception closes at 8 the owners were both there to greet us. Even spending time to explain where we could get to by bus and train and what to see. Helped us upto a lovely double room with our bags. The rooms are tastefully decorated and absolutely spotless. Bathroom is perfect and has everything you need. Our rooms were cleaned daily. The balcony was lovely to open up to in the morning. Breakfast was offered at a reasonable 10euros but we didn't take it as we liked to get up and out early. Seeing the breakfast on display I wish we had. The owners of the hotel are just lovely and can't do enough for you. Even to giving us a roll out mat for the beach. You can hire beach towels from them for 3 euros each which is great as you can keep them all week if you wish but remember to them back. Will definitely be back to this jewel of a hotel next year. We booked the rooms last minute, and when the owner saw that we had bikes, her demeanour immediately changed, and she became very hostile throughout our stay. She charged us 5 euro to park our bikes, and when we contested this, she accused us of not reading the fine print on booking.com. She had a similar hostile reaction when we declined breakfast in the hotel for the next morning. The room was pleasant, and clean, however this experience with the owner did sour our stay.
