We want to extend our thank you to Best Western Premier Patio des Artistes, Cannes especially the cleaning staff. We are very particular about the cleanliness of our rooms and the hotel. It truly was immaculate. I am so very grateful as this made it a pleasure to come back in the evenings after a day of discovering Cannes. Check in was smooth and I am very thankful for our slightly later check out. We truly can’t wait to come back. Merci infiniment, our stay with you exceeded our expectations.

“Nice stay but final day ruined by one employee.”

My friend & I was staying in Cannes for 4 nights. Hotel is nice, clean, well air conditioned and we enjoyed our stay. I would note, there is not a jacuzzi as photographed which we was not made aware of prior to our stay. That said, the events which occurred on the last day tainted our stay in this hotel - We was not informed of a check out time during any point of our stay. At 11am on the day we was checking out, a lady telephoned our hotel room. She informed us that check out was at 11am and we needed to leave. We apologised and politely explained that we was not informed of a check out time to which she told us "it is written everywhere" (it wasn't written anywhere) and that we would be charged for another nights stay! We explained we could not accept that as 1) nowhere did it state the checkout time nor was we informed of this and 2) we would be an hour or 2 later than the 11am checkout time she ONLY JUST told us, we wouldn't be staying another night. She then said we would be charged 70 euros instead. Again, we explained we would not accept this. She then said we could have the room until midday for free then it would be 50 euros. We asked where this was stated in their policy, as the cost had fluctuated by over 50% in the space of a minute and we started to feel suspicious. She hung up the line. We called back and stated we had just been hung up on, to which she stated "well when will you be out of the room". We said 1pm latest of which she responded "fine, I have no choice". When we went to reception to check out, the lady was there but with 2 other members of staff. There was no mention of the charge, and no issues were raised by them. They even took our luggage for us whilst we went for lunch before we left for the airport. The random prices stated, plus then not mentioning this when other employees were present, in addition to the fact we could not be presented with any form of Hotel Policy which states these "rates" for overstaying checkout time, leads us to believe the lady was trying her luck to intimidate and get money out of us for her own benefit. A real shame, as our stay would have had a very different rating and review should this have not occurred....
