“Pretty boutique close to the beach, shops and train station”

I had 2 choices - this hotel and the Marriott hotel facing the beach. I chose this one because the pool looked fabulous from the picture, and the Marriott fronting the beach looked older. This is a nice, new hotel with beautiful lobby space, close to all the restaurants and shops I would enjoy, and it's close/walking distance to La Croisette and the Film Festival/Convention area. We used that convention area to park our rental car for the night for like 12 euro so it's super convenient. The hotel is walking distance from the train station, so we were able to walk with our luggage to the hotel late at night. The check in was good, it's a boutique hotel so there's only one entrance, there are 2 exits. We got a room on the 2nd floor with a view of the Church next door. The room itself is pretty, but some of the design work, some does not. I'm not a fan of bathrooms that you can see through unless you close the shade, and the toilet is separate from the toilet sink so you'd have to cross the room to wash your hands. We have daily stocks of water and drinks, so that was a nice touch. The breakfast buffet is fabulous with great selection of French pastries I've come to love (lemon bars, rum cake, etc). Love the butter. The breakfast place is at the top floor, and the desing is great, and it gives you a 360 view of the city, especially if you step outside to the pool area. The temperature sadly, was already cold in early October, so we were not able to try it out. The valet guy was nice, and the room service crew was great. The restaurant staff are awesome. The front desk guy could smile a bit more, otherwise everyone looked like they enjoyed working there and takes great pride of the hotel and its 5 star designation.

Amazing location, excellent service from checkin to concierge to breakfast....every single employee went above and beyond to ensure comfort as well as satisfaction. This hotel is so conveniently located for shopping, eating as well as the exhibition centre.Thank you for a brilliant week.

Positives + very clean – spotless + very comfortable bed and linens + excellent shower water pressure + small frig – take out their things and use for your own; also they give complimentary soda, water, and juice daily + lots of storage space with built ins – two large closets, real hangers, lots of shelves – just have to be sure to clean all shelves before use as they were dirty and dusty. + very professional and helpful staff in all roles + large nightstand tables that you can move + lighting switches on the side of the bed are very convenient + lovely breakfast although items cooked to order can take a while; service can be slow. Breakfast buffet is mostly breads and pastries, with smaller displays of cheese, fruit, vegetables, yogurt, and smoked salmon sandwich tidbits. The fruit is wonderfully fresh and delicious. Excellent quality and wonderful views from top floor. Hard boiled eggs, even ordered for a 12 minute cooking time, arrived with liquid yolks that exploded and spewed all over then trying to peel and open the egg. Negatives ---very dark, even with all lights on (not enough lighting) --- no counter or storage space in bathroom at all – no place to put anything other than the small area of tile at the back of the tub --- no towel hooks or racks within reach of shower ---large tub takes up a lot of space ---hand towel racks too low so towels brush against floor --- no clock --- at breakfast, ordering something off the menu can take a long time; service is slow.
