“Solid Hotel at a Great Price”
Nice is an expensive area and this is one of the cheapest hotels I could find. Even so, the hotel was decent and was pleased with my stay overall. Nice is an expensive area and this is one of the cheapest hotels I could find. Even so, the hotel was decent and was pleased with my stay overall. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect for me. I was in town for 6 days and spent all but one day heading out of Nice via train so it was great to be about 6-7 minutes walk from the main train station. There were also lots of shops, fast food restaurants and even a small supermarket on route. It was also no more than a 15-20 minute walk to Nice old town. The room at the hotel was a decent size, it was quiet and clean, and the bed was comfortable. The room had a decent sized window that opened up to overlook the street below - nice for soaking up the atmosphere in the mornings. I was offered breakfast but didn’t need it so I can’t comment on that.

This hotel is very good for the price you pay. I’m unsure of why it has so many terrible reviews because I found the place very so-so and average. The room was clean and quite big. The shower was quite primitive and lacked any toiletries but it did the job. I will say the receptionist did make me u… more
This hotel is very good for the price you pay. I’m unsure of why it has so many terrible reviews because I found the place very so-so and average. The room was clean and quite big. The shower was quite primitive and lacked any toiletries but it did the job. I will say the receptionist did make me uncomfortable as a solo female, asking me if I was married and telling me I look good. But perhaps it was a misguided compliment. Did the job anyway!

Hotel Plaisance is located near Ville Gare Train in a quiet corner. Excellent location also short walking distance to the tram and one of the main streets full of rest, bars and shops Our room 202 was quiet with a little balcony. The air conditioner worked perfect and the bed and pillows were comfortable. House keeping every day but sometimes forgot to bring me small face towels. Safe box in room was extra money. WIFI horrible. Reception always poor. The room and hotel in general need a good, good upgrade. Excellent location and hotel architecture is a plus but the decor and conditions won’t allow me to give 5 stars. I recommend it but don’t expect elegant hotel but yes super clean, polite customer service and location is a plus in Hotel Plaisance.
