“Great staff, perfect location, you can get anywhere you need from there by feet!”
All the staff were awesome, caring and friendly. Beginning from receptionists, cleaning ladies and breakfast kitchen/restaurant staff. All the staff were awesome, caring and friendly. Beginning from receptionists, cleaning ladies and breakfast kitchen/restaurant staff. The food was delicious : scrambled egg with fried vegetables, sausages, cereals, Greek yoghurt, jams, toasts, sandwiches, pastries, fresh fruit. The room was clean, working fridge, good housekeeping services. Every morning the lady who was working in the restaurant upstairs was so friendly and kind to me and my son :) The location of the hotel is perfect, we felt safe coming back home, the surrounding area felt safe even at late hours, and it was not too noisy. The hotel is located near the heart of Rethymno, 10 minutes walking and you can reach the beautiful Old-Town. Of course, it is not the “ Ultra all inclusive large 5 stars hotel with 5 pools and etc..” , but it is a convenient nice hotel in the central part of the town. Would stay there again. It was perfect for what we needed. :)

“Good staff ”
Had good time here. Hotel was well placed in a great spot super close to the old town and the staff always tried to make the stay great. Some nights they showed up at my door to bring free wine or fruit bowls. I would happily recommend this spot again, particularly in the summer when the nearby beach would be walkable.

“A Pleasant Surprise”
We were diverted to the Liberty Hotel when we arrived at our RCI Resort booking of a 1 bedroom condo at Grand Leoniki SPA Resort in the beach . We were diverted to the Liberty Hotel when we arrived at our RCI Resort booking of a 1 bedroom condo at Grand Leoniki SPA Resort in the beach . (It was closed for the season) We were at first very stressed and disappointed to find we were relocated to a town in a 1 bedroom 3 star at best Hotel room with breakfast included. At first I didn’t think I could manage a whole week here. After a few days we realized we were in a great area. Lots to see, great restaurants and shops and a good setting off point for many attractions. The few other hotel guests, (all seemed to be Grand Leoniki displaced guests) were so friendly and fun to meet at breakfast. Breakfast was good. They had everything you would expect. They even cooked fresh eggs in the morning for us. Coffee was great. Fruit and yogurt and muslie is what I had. My husband had toast, jam, fruit, eggs, cheese, croissants and sausages. The hotel staff were amazing! Very helpful and so kind. They turned themselves inside out to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We even had hugs when we left. One day we drove back to the Leoniki to check out that area. We soon realized we were in a much better spot. Because it was off season, most everything in the area was closed and looking destitute and depressing. The beach was empty, there seemed to be no shopping and only a couple of eating places open. We realized we were in a much better location. I would definitely stay at the Liberty Hotel again, just not as an RCI exchange where I want a condo. You can’t beat the location and caring, helpful staff.
