Another great stay in the winter sun. Moss and the team really make you feel at home. A big shout out to Philip and Paulina, sorry I cannot remember the names of all the other great staff members. Can not fault anything about the hotel. The food and drinks are good, there is always something you like. The entertainment of an evening has improved 100%, Fantastic. Yes there is a hill but it's not that bad. You can always get a taxi back up the hill for €10 from the village. We had a great room overlooking the village, beautiful at night. A good bus route from the village to either Lindos or Rhodes town, the old town is a must. Only €2.50 each way. We have already booked for next year, can not wait. Mick & Ally

Listed as a 3 star hotel but I would definitely up that, as we have just had a 5 star experience. Spent 11 nights in the friendliest, most welcoming hotel ever. The staff were all absolutely brilliant which made our stay there even better. They couldn't do enough for you, going out of their way to make your stay special. The pool was a good size but freezing...quite refreshing on a hot day though, and we never struggled to get a sunbed. Rooms were clean and well appointed, ours was at the back of the hotel and overlooked Afandou, we had a lovely afternoon breeze coming down from the mountains. The entertainment was great and got everyone up dancing. The hotel is up a steep hill, the walk to the village is fine but the walk back can be challenging on a hot day, however, it does give you the opportunity to work off the over indulgence in the restaurant, as the food is excellent, (especially the gyros), and the menu was varied. After you've finished your meal you can indulge in the most fantastic cakes (mainly why the walk up the hill was so useful). Can't thank the hotel staff enough for making our stay truly enjoyable and memorable. Would definitely go again and most definitely recommend.

“We’re still here - and don’t want to go home!”

It’s the end of the Rhodes season and there are only a handful of us left at the Rodos Star. The manager told us yesterday that hubby and I will be the only ones left on Saturday night - we leave Sunday 😭😭. We don’t want to go 😩 and everyone we’ve spoken to feel the same. All the staff are so friendly and we feel like we’re part of their family 🥰 A massive shout out to Mos, the manager on reception who has bent over backwards for the whole season making sure everyone is happy, to Eleni (in the dining room and who makes the most delicious desserts) who is amazing with information about Rhodes - tips and advice about places to visit. To Phillip in the lounge bar, who must see some sights in that bar which is where the entertainment occurs 😂 and to lovely Ben at the poolside bar who always greets us with a smile. They can’t do enough for us and treat us like we’re the only guests here. The rooms are clean with fresh towels. The dining room is immaculate with a hot and cold buffet service which is delicious - some reviewers have said it’s the same every night…IT’S NOT! Yes there are salads, chips, potatoes and rice/pasta every night, but there are always different main meals on offer - curry, stews, Chinese dishes, fish, vegetarian and vegan options etc The pool is freezing but I find it refreshing. The walk to town is steep - easier going down than up but it’s short and takes just 20 minutes. Wear good shoes👍🏻 All in all we’ve had a 5star holiday at a 3star hotel - we will definitely be returning.

We have just returned from a fabulous 28 day stay at the Rodos Star. The food was of a very high standard with lots of choice. There was entertainment four nights a week, which were tribute bands, a Greek night and the 80s and 90s disco, all of which were good fun. The room was cleaned to a good standard daily with fresh towels every day. The staff are exceptionally friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. We have stayed at this hotel many times before but this time it was better than ever. We made friends with lots of very nice people and enjoyed a few nights out at the local restaurants. Our favourites were The Old House, which is on the dual carriageway and The Carrusel in Kolymbia. We also visited The Local in Afandou square to watch the football. We look forward to returning in April 2025.
