Just returned from Kalimera hotel Akrotiri. Everything was perfect. Flora was so helpful and very informative. Helen served us each day with a huge smile. The pool guy and maid's keep everything pristine. Our room 22 had the biggest bed we've ever seen and cleaned daily ( I did take kettle for early morning cuppa ) Village with a handful Tavernas is 2 min walk, we ate at Portobello 4/5 nights, was delicious. Bus stop is right outside hotel where you can go to Fira ( 2euros ) from there you can get bus to anywhere on the Island. We will definitely return.

Had a fabulous 4 night stay at the Kalimera Hotel. Arrived after midnight, greeted by Flora who took lots of time telling us about the island. We had a room with a Caldera view which was amazing seeing boats and cruise ships come in and out. We ate twice at the good heart hotel in Akrotiri which is a good 30 min uphill walk there. Also ate once in the hotel which was lovely and very reasonable. Perfect location to walk to the archaeological site and the boat trip to the white, black and red beaches. Reception also organised a quad bike hire on our final day. Bus stop outside the hotel makes it easy to get around. Remember to take extension lead for extra sockets and kettle if you like a cuppa in your room. Breakfast was also fab

Our room had a caldera view and was peaceful, unfortunately, whilst there we experienced two power cuts so the generator kicked in so this was a bit noisy but at least we had electricity! The breakfast buffet good, pool area was very pleasant. Would return if in the area, easy access to Akrotiri village and the archaeological site, plus the bus stops outside to Fira, so easy to get around the island.

Would like to put on record from meeting Flora in reception on day one her overwhelming presence nothing was to much trouble for her and her family, a family run hotel we were even given a choice of rooms, it was a great place to stay and relax and so easy to use the bus which stopped right outside our hotel Kalimera. All staff were superb especially Helen who made us feel we were the only guests, they all went the extra mile. Hopefully they will all have a well deserved break soon. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

This is a very well kept little hotel in a great location. The staff are very attentive to your needs and very friendly. Flora and her team are very pleasant and run a well oiled machine. My only criticism is that the bar shuts very promptly at 11pm when you are encouraged to leave rather quickly. There is no tea making facility in the room so if like us you like a hot drink on your balcony before retiring you will be disappointed. You can hire one apparently but with just a single socket in the room right next to the bed it wouldn't be easy to use. Charging multiple devices which most have these days was also something of an issue. Akrotiri village is just a stones throw away and has a handful of traditional tavernas catering for all tastes. Our personal favourite was Portobello which we visited 3 times. The food was great and the staff very friendly and polite. If you want to travel further afield the buses are a cheap and simple option with a bus stop right outside the hotel. We had a lovely time but these small improvements would have greatly improve the whole holiday experience.
