“Great base to explore the Amalfi coast”

Villa Sorrento is a great base if you are looking to explore Naples and the Amalfi coast. We were a family of four and stayed in the apartment. This had everything we needed including the swimming pool outside which our two girls loved. Our hosts were friendly and gave lots of advice for exploring the surrounding areas. To visit Vesuvius we took the train from Meta to Ercolano then used the Vesuvius express coach company to get us to the top. We also took a trip to Amalfi using the local bus Sita (this advertises a stop in Meta however starts in Sorrento so is always full before it gets to Meta) which we picked up outside Sorrento station. This is a very popular bus in peak months so get there early. We planned a stop in Positano but ran out of time waiting for the bus! We came back by ferry boat to Sorrento, which was a great way to see the coast line. Meta is a lovely town, much quieter than neighbouring Sorrento, we found the shops and restaurants reasonable and everything is only a train ride away.

This was possibly the best holiday I have ever had, villa sorrento was amazing and our host can not do enough for you. Daily updates on things to do and see. Plus discounts in various places. The villa its self is amazing, quiet and relaxing with a gorgeous pool to cool off in. You will need to 30 degrees when we stayed. I urge anyone wanting a quiet stay in italy to stay here can't say anything bad about it

“Amazing little place”
Visited with my mother who found this place. Would say the location is great to travel around all the main places to see. Visited with my mother who found this place. Would say the location is great to travel around all the main places to see. Room was nice and cosy with a little terrace to enjoy a snack with glass of wine. Kitchen is nicely equipped if you don't plan to eat out every day as there is a little market and a shop on the corner with home-made wine on tap. What else to want in Italy? The host was very helpful explaining the best ways how to travel to our locations and recommended the best spots to dine or have a drink locally in Meta. Overall, nothing to complain about, thank you for hospitality!

“Perfect base for a lovely weekend”

This hotel is a perfect base for sightseeing in Sorrento and the surrounding area. It is very clean and comfortable, and a great location with the train station being only a 10 minute walk away. Meta is a lot quieter than Sorrento, but there are still good bars and restaurants within walking distance. Stafania was really helpful and provided us with maps and local information when we arrived. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

“Comfy BnB with big Pool to cool off in.”
Situated about 10 minutes walk from the station, this BnB offers nice rooms with good aircon, and a big balcony with table and chairs to have your breakfast at. Situated about 10 minutes walk from the station, this BnB offers nice rooms with good aircon, and a big balcony with table and chairs to have your breakfast at. Big pool which is the same depth all round (quite deep), but spotlessly clean, was nice to cool off in after a days sightseeing. Optional breakfast was very tasty. Beach is about 15 minutes walk (down hill) and there are buses that can bring you back up the hill. The stairs up the cliff face are quite a killer after a day at the beach! Just be warned, the entrance to the property is on a very busy road, and is only marked with a small plaque- we battled to find the property despite having directions. Other than that we had an enjoyable stay. The host gave us fabulous restaurant recommendations!
