“Lovely little hotel in Calabria”
This is a lovely villa refurbished as a hotel, in a vacation beach spot. It is located a bit higher in the village, so it means you need a car. This is a lovely villa refurbished as a hotel, in a vacation beach spot. It is located a bit higher in the village, so it means you need a car. On the plus side it is quieter, and it has a lovely garden. Parking is easy (we went in July). The staff is kind and nice, very familiy-like. The room was clean, big and we chose sea views, which I recommend because there is a small balcony. We had dinner there at night, and the breeze helped with the heat. We had half board and dining at the hotel was a good solution after visiting the town. There is air conditioning although it is a bit tired, but you're not travelling there to spend time in the room. The bathroom has been recently refurbished but it is not modern. I would recommend bringing/buying your own shampoo, etc. Hair dryer was a bit slow, but again it was so hot you're probably not going to use it. I was attending an event and needed to use it. Breakfast had not salty options, to our knowledge. All in all, this would not prevent me from staying here, if I visit Calabria again.

The first thing you must do when visiting Cirella is to adjust not to the time zone, the heat or to the weather, but to the pace of life. Time literally stops in this remote town in southern Italy. Once you unwind, relax and forget the time you'll be ready to enjoy all Cirella has to offer. Villa Cerelis is 10 mins walk from an idyllic beach, though not sandy is great for swimming and sun bathing. Read. Watch beautiful sunsets. The hotel has a remarkably good restaurant too. I came for a friends wedding and got a great deal for 5 nights. I had a great time!
