This is a really authentic hotel. We had two rooms which were both clean and comfortable, and the hotel wasn’t too noisy which meant a good night’s sleep. Getting a balcony was a great idea, as the view is excellent over the harbour, and we could sit out there when the weather was good! I would recommend getting a car, and we parked for free nearby. Otherwise, a taxi to Olbia airport is approximately €100. As we visited in the off-season, many bars and restaurants weren’t open, although Baja Sardinia had options for lunch and we ate twice in Hivaoa restaurant. However, the hotel restaurant and bar is very good too (including the breakfast) - although more expensive! The staff were excellent (particularly Barbara and Elena) Would recommend.

We only booked our stay 3 weeks before visiting for a week starting 9th September 2024 . We were there to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. After booking we then read more of the reviews - then were worried what we had booked. However the reviews are so far from what we experienced. We really couldn’t fault the hotel! We booked the cheapest comfort room. Excellent room , very good size, had a sofa which was nice, very clean and well kept. Bathroom was very good with the best shower had in staying in any 4 star hotel in Europe. The room was on several levels but the hotel is built into the hillside so to be expected. Staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. Breakfast had plenty of choice from excellent coffee, to freshly squished orange juice, hams, cheeses, fresh fruit, yoghurts, at least a dozen different pastries each day, good bread. Hot food was a slight letdown but still delicious scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages every day. Lounge area was lovely with lots of comfortable sofas. Gym was small and limited equipment but husband was happy as used the exercise bike most days. Had 2 evening meals in the restaurant which were very good - pricey but the whole resort of Porto Cervo is very expensive. If you want cheap don’t stay in Porto Cervo !

First of this isn't a 4-star hotel, it's 3.5 at best, maybe even a 3. They've gone for a rustic charm type decor but haven't really pulled it off in my opinion. Some parts of the hotel look a little tired and dated also. The AC in our room barely functioned and so the temperature never dropped below 24. The bar and adjoining restaurant are mega expensive too, location is poor being right at the peak of a large hilly outcrop meaning it's a slog of a walk to get anywhere and the free shuttle bus mentioned on the website into the port isn't actually run by the hotel and is very hit and miss. Nobody we spoke to could tell us where it stopped and when it operated. On the plus side the rooms were clean and the reception staff were really friendly and helpful, breakfast had a great assortment to choose from but the waiting staff were very slow and inattentive most of the time. All in all, it's not a hotel or a place I'd recommend to anyone.
