On 23 January 2020, the new Balearic Law against Tourism Excesses entered into force, which prohibits all-inclusive deals with unlimited alcoholic beverages. Only a maximum of three alcoholic beverages per guest will be served during lunch and/or dinner.
We would also like to inform you of the following restrictions included in the law:
Practices which may endanger the life, health and physical integrity of guests are strictly prohibited at hotels, apartments and holiday properties. These practices include climbing from one balcony or window to another and jumping from inappropriate places such as balconies into swimming pools (a practice widely known as ';balconing';). Guests breaking the law will be immediately banished from the property and may be fined, states the law and the corresponding municipal regulations. The hotel/apartment manager or property agent must order said guests to leave immediately, which may require assistance from the security forces.
Failure to comply with the prohibition of practices which may endanger the life, health and physical integrity of guests will be considered a serious offence. In the Balearic Islands, serious offences are subject to a fine between 6,001 and 60,000 euros.

“Lovely hotel with amazing staff and views”
Lovely hotel. I usually stay at the other Alfagars but wanted to be closer to old town so stayed here. The same excellent cleanliness experienced at all alfagar sites. Lovely hotel. I usually stay at the other Alfagars but wanted to be closer to old town so stayed here. The same excellent cleanliness experienced at all alfagar sites. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a jet 2 partial sea view in block one and it was lovely. Fantastic views, newly modernised shower room, comfy beds and pull out bed. Pool and pool area spotless and relaxing. The stairs down to old town were a lot coming back up but even with a serious medical condition I managed it daily. We also found lots of other ways to and from old town and surrounding areas. Would definitely stay again.

Just back from a perfect few days at this accommodation. The apartment was spotless and was fully stocked with everything required for our stay. We were always able to find a bed round the pool no matter what time we arrived and the pool side bar sold all the drinks and snacks you’d expect. Reception was always manned and staff were always very helpful. Best thing for us about this accommodation was its location….just a very short (downhill) walk right to the square in the centre of town where there are lots of restaurants and bars and the beech can be found a little further. It’s only €4 back from the taxi rank if you don’t fancy the uphill walk back. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back soon.

We are just back from a beautiful stay here. It was our first time taking our 2 year old abroad, and so were a bit nervous about what to expect, however it was a brilliant experience for us all! All of the staff at Cerro Malpique were so friendly and helpful and they all took time to chat to our little one/give him high 5s whenever he passed them by. We opted for a 1 bedroom apartment and were delighted by how spacious it was. The staff had set up a travel cot in the bedroom for our wee one, and we slept on the sofa bed in the living room. The apartment was clean and fresh with a lovely balcony. The pool area was perfect for us and never too busy to get a lounger. The terrace beside the pool has stunning views over the sea. The location was brilliant, the steps weren't too much of a hassle and there is a way to get to the town avoiding them if you walk out past the Aldi. Cannot recommend Albufeira more and these appartments!

Brilliant, budget-friendly hotel and lovely staff, especially the lady at the pool bar who has sons. Brilliant, budget-friendly hotel and lovely staff, especially the lady at the pool bar who has sons. We were a group of 8 girls and really enjoyed our stay, apartments were very spacious with good balconies and good facilities for cooking. Always plenty of sunbeds by the pool. Many other reviews complain about the stairs up from the old town but if you are of reasonable fitness level they are no problem. Only downsides I would give is the mouldy silicone in the shower which gave a bit of a dirty feel, and would have liked bedding changed whilst we were there as being on holiday you do tend to bring a bit of sand in sometimes! I think the hotel could make a lot more money if they opened a proper pool bar with cocktails/fresh pints as currently all that's available are bottles and cans.
