“Great chilled break”

Hotel lovely, clean, staff helpful really comfortable beds and pillows, breakfast very good close to bars and restaurants 5 mins away you must visit the sky bar amazing outside pool freezing but people braved it indoor pool warm. Would definitely recommend and will go back

We have stayed at this hotel a few times and have always found the hotel very clean and staff excellent. Great location. A very special thank you to Alex the night porter who kindly helped and gave amazing support through an a medical emergency.

The location is absolutely fabulous with very good restaurants about 50 yards from the hotel. The location is absolutely fabulous with very good restaurants about 50 yards from the hotel. Continuing down the hill, not that steep, you get to a lovely beach with more restaurants, plenty of shops and supermarkets. When we were there there was no shortage of sunbeds each with an adjustable shade on the top of each one. They could have been slightly more comfortable especially as it wasn't possible to alter the angle. The breakfast was the best we have ever had. A good choice of English and continental with lots of different breads and fabulous Portuguese tarts which went as soon as they came out so never enough! Unfortunately I do have to mention 2 negatives both of which were complaints mentioned to us by everyone who talked to us. There was unanimous agreement that a kettle and tea and coffee making facilities are to be expected in a 4 star hotel of this standard. When asked we were just told we don't provide them. The coffee was nice and not expensive but small and it is nice to make a drink before getting up or before bed without having to carry it up to your room even with a lift. The 2nd negative is rather more personal. I tripped on a ridge in the concrete by the pool very badly bruising my ribs and 2 weeks later they are not fully healed. For those of you wishing to find it before doing the same thing it is about level with the bar and no I had not had a drink!! I fell so heavily that some guests heard it rather than saw it and for the next week I was asked at least 2/3 times a day at breakfast or round the pool how I was and that they had almost fallen in the same place or by the foot bath at the entrance to the pool area. At the time I was given very good attention. The Manager and deputy also made a great show of examining the area but then did nothing and we understand this has been an issue for years now and they have not done anything about it. One day it could cause a serious accident! All I would have liked was a painted line on the offending strip of raised concrete to make it more obvious.

Bar area, most comfortable chairs, breakfast room very nice as well as the breakfast, so much choice, very well managed. Pool bar good, unfortunately sun loungers are uncomfortable due to not being able to alter the angle. Reception staff, need a lot more training in customer service. No kettle in your rooms. ROOMS! Absolutely not 4 star, furniture, lamps, decor and valance on the bed are so outdated.
