We stayed as a family with 3 children ages 16, 13, and 11. Lovely reception area and glass of fizz or juice on arrival. Check in a little slow. Pools were great, with regular entertainment around the pool for kids and adults. We love aqua zumba in the pool and the floating mat. Bar was as expected, some slight queues, especially when coming to closing time, but this was no issue. Good variety of cocktails and local branded drinks. They also had ice cream. There is a separate bar in the restaurant for during meals which was handy. There was a good selection of food at every meal, with live cooking stations. All of our party managed to find something they enjoyed. Staff were really friendly. Night time entertainment seemed poor. The only thing that entertained us was the animation team show. There are some bars and restaurants a short walk away and that's generally what we did in the evenings. Rooms were clean and comfortable, nicely decorated and cleaned/replenished daily. There was a fridge in the room for water. We had a 2 bedroom which was great for us. Bathroom was spacious and a handy seating area in the foyer. Train station is down the road. We had a day in Barcelona using the train. Overall, we had a lovely stay here. The online disappointment was the location as it wasn't really for us but the hotel itself was great.

“Enjoyable end of season break”

7 night half term break with my daughter and granddaughter (10yrs),her first trip abroad. Nearing the end of the season and the weather was mixed and I guess everything was quieter than it would be in the summer months. Hotel is about an hour from Barcelona airport. Checked in easily and have luggage store until your room is ready. The room was nice with 2 balconies overlooking a side street. Very clean and a reasonable amount of storage. Great shower, always hot and good pressure. Comfy beds. Bedroom doors tend to slam closed which is annoying during the night but par for the course in a hotel. We were all inclusive and found there was plenty of food choices, something for us all. Halloween tea was amazing plus lots of decorations and made blood pool with red water!! All staff are friendly and helpful. Pools were good although cold but would be great in the hotter months. Quiet location, shops close by and train station only 10 minutes walk away. Calella is nice and has more shops. We all had a really nice break and would come again.

Me and my family visited for 3 nights and only thing that overshadowed it was the weather :-( Staff all pleasant, entertainment was great and the hotel was great for our kids. Little pointers - need beer mats as there was water from drinks all over tables. The card system works fine but could do with easy access to hand them back rather than stand in a long queue and could do with a self pour beer to bring the queue down. Seen a lot of bad reviews about the food, we found it depended when you went, later it got towards the end the worse it got. Same with most hotel buffets, this wasn’t much different - they did make a lot of effort however with the Halloween theme and desserts etc. All in all lovely trip.

Hotel was lovely and clean. All staff that we encountered were friendly. It was super busy, mealtimes and evenings felt like there were too many people for the facilities. Only one bar was in use and people reserved tables by leaving drinks on the table and jackets on chairs, then went off to have their evening meal for over an hour. I don’t think this is acceptable and should be addressed. No sunbed wars as it wasn’t that warm when we were there. Meal times were hectic and the food was disappointing, not sure if this is because it was end of season. The shower in our room didn’t drain properly and the basin overflowed into the bathroom. Mentioned this to reception and they said someone would look at it. We saw no evidence that they had. Good location, 5 minutes away from the train station. Had day trips to Barcelona and Girona on the train. Two adults and a child €30-35 train fare. The ticket machines were not in use at the station so had to pay by cash. Had an enjoyable weekend due to the day trips, but would not return to this hotel.
