This is our second day here and our first experience of the Castilla. The hotel is situated right near our fav little bar. From the first time you see the hotel you can't help but be impressed it's quite beautiful to look at. The outside is clean and all railings and windows polished to a very high standard! We came in memory of our dear spanish friend Jaime from catalonia who stayed here many years! Sadly he has passed so we decided to give this hotel a go! The reception area is very pleasant to walk into.....so quiet and inviting. Staff are wonderful and check in easy. We are on the 11th floor overlooking the pool. There are so many sunlounges which is a bonus. The room is tastefully decorated in my favorite colours turquoise and is very relaxing. Beds are very comfortable best sleep I've had in a hotel. I slept soundly and no noises of sirens or party goers. The room has electronic shutters which is great as in hot days would keep the room cool. Loving the shower with one massive head and a separate smaller one which comes off the wall which I love. The food is exceptional and plenty of it. The ambience in the restaurant is chilled and the music they play suits the ambience. The food is hot unlike other places I've been to that tell you to put in the microwave!!! The food is hot and fresh. I'm in heaven!! The staff are very welcoming and always clear up quickly with a smile. We did our booking with Jackie and it was a painless process. Free transfers, two free drinks and tickets to benidorm palace. The only downfall is.......oh wait there arnt any!! 10 out of 10 for customer service!!!

“Outstanding”

We cannot praise this hotel enough, from the minute we entered the service was outstanding. First we were greeted by Jackie on reception. The bar staff especially Ingrid and Jamie, the cleaning staff, the restaurant staff. We will definitely return and we truly cannot recommend the Castilla enough.… more

We cannot praise this hotel enough, from the minute we entered the service was outstanding. First we were greeted by Jackie on reception. The bar staff especially Ingrid and Jamie, the cleaning staff, the restaurant staff. We will definitely return and we truly cannot recommend the Castilla enough. Our holiday was fabulous. The food was outstanding, so many different dishes to choose from each day. The chefs were kind and all the staff had plenty of time to talk to ypu, nothing absolutely nothing was a problem. The rooms were clean and spacious. Lovely balcony. If you're looking at this hotel please don't hesitate, just book it, you won't regret it.

Booked to grab the last part of summer. Returning to the hotel after a two year gap. Happily, all was as we remembered it. The hotel is in a quieter corner of benidorm, although not very far from all the action. The Old Town, the nearest beach and the clubbing area, are all in different directions, each about a 15/20 walk. Our room was exactly as requested. Most welcome was the efficient independent air conditioning, because the weather was very hot, even for September. Nice poolside balcony, TV, Safe, Fridge. No coffee facilities. Very satisfactory bathroom. One tiny grumble, most benidorm hotels provide a couple of bathroom glasses for toothbrushes etc. Here, unfortunately, you only get 2 cardboard cups, which start leaking after 24 hours use. The standard of the restaurant food is way above the benidorm average, and its preparation is quite sympathetic to british tastes. The bar area does have a kitchen of sorts and there is a limited menu during the afternoons. The pool area is usually one of the quietest in benidorm. Unusually for benidorm hotels there are plenty of sun chairs, available for all. There is evening entertainment in the large lounge area. Also a large TV screen for football matches. Another plus for those seeking a quiet vacation is that the hotel does not particularly welcome stag and hen party groups. Reception staff were incredibly helpful with their local knowledge. Would, and probably will, stay again in the future.

Room; the room was clean, beds were comfortable, bathroom was good, plenty of hot water, but the lack of a kettle and tea and coffee making facilities was a let down. Booked this hotel after reading reviews and I must say I was disappointed. Room; the room was clean, beds were comfortable, bathroom was good, plenty of hot water, but the lack of a kettle and tea and coffee making facilities was a let down. Food; Breakfasts were ok, though some things were not hot enough, the evening meals were a let down, have had much better standard at other 4* hotels. Pool; small pool, clean enough, small sunbathing area in pool vicinity but larger sun terrace above. Entertainment; hardly anyone in for shows, but it is Benidorm. Staff; friendly in every department. All in all, a small clean hotel, with bars nearby, a ten minute walk uphill from the beach and front, wouldn't return though .
