We stayed in June. Hotel is located in San Fransisco Square, in the middle of the old town. The Hotel room was great, we had a small balcony. Accommodation staff were very good as was the restaurant staff. Do not go for the inclusive breakfast... , as other reviewers say, the breakfast food offer is poor and lets the hotel down. Otherwise we will return, Cadiz is a great city. Attractions such as the Beaches, Maze of streets, Squares, Walking, Cycling, Shopping, Restaurants, pubs etc. are very good.

This hotel is extremely well located in a small, lively plaza within the old city and easy walking distance from all attractions. It is also very good value for money as long as you are happy with a room that lacks charm and individuality but has all the basic amenities, like comfortable beds and an excellent shower, right. 'Frills' may be an electric kettle and small fridge which mean that hot drink making (in our case with tea bags we had brought from home and local milk kept in the fridge) possible. Rooms are a good size too, clean and freshly painted (no smell). We asked for a quiet room, realising that those overlooking the plaza were likely to be noisy, and were given 407 which was very quiet indeed, but rather hot as at the top of the building and with only a small window looking on to internal, but un-peopled, courtyard. Temperature outside in mid-March during the day was around 22F but it rarely fell below 15F at night. A/C not yet switched on centrally. One disappointment was the breakfast which was lack-lustre and poor quality. It was included in our room deal so we stayed in but others may not wish to. The meal was taken in the cafe or back-room adjacent to the cafe, on the ground floor of the hotel. Cafe open to non-residents as well. Cadiz is a wonderful place to visit. Staying at this hotel is a very good value way of doing so.

“Good quality for little money”
This is a lovely hotel which is also strictly no-nonsense. Situated in a classical building at a beautiful square in mid-town it offers rather small but very clean and well-equiped rooms at very fair rates. It even has a friendly restaurant right in front og the hotel. I love this kind of hotels!

This hotel is okay for three stars, meaning location, comfortable beds, clean and reasonable size bedrooms. Reception and breakfast staff are all unfriendly, not really helpfull and it feels like anything you aks or say is too.much. The breakfast is really really bad, especially for 10 euros! I come here four years in a row and it has never been great but this year was terrible. Hardly any choice, dry bread, yoghurt that has not been set cold, the most simple muesli (1 kind), fruit consists of unripe bananas and kiwi's, some tasteless cheese and ham, coffee comes out of a machine with milk powder, orange juice will not be offered but can be obtained at the bar. Even worse: if you come from outside and order a coffee or some tostada, they'll prepare you a fresh cappuccino either real foamy fresh milk and a good sandwich. So, yes it's an okay hotel but please get your breakfast somewhere else ans don't count on a friendly hello from anyone that works there.
