Location: The hotel is situated between pine forests and dunes. It has a privileged location, right next to the beach with direct access from the southern side. The historical and commercial centre of Rota is only 2.5 km from the hotel, and a bus stop can be found just some metres away from the property. Jerez de la Frontera Airport is around 40 km away and Sevilla Airport is roughly 100 km away.
Meals: Various dining options are available, including a dining room, a breakfast room and a bar. Guests can indulge their palates at the restaurant (non-smoking, à la carte and high chairs). Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. Half board is offered as a catering option.

“My ROTA home away from home.”
It has been ten years since my first stay there and I haven't wanted to stay anywhere else. Since my first stay, I have stayed there dozens of times over the years in many different rooms all over the property and enjoyed every one. This place is great and the people are even better.

“January trip”
Always a pleasant experience to stay at the Playa. I was there for 15 nights while supporting U.S. Navy ships at Naval Station Rota. I previously had stayed at Playa during July - September so it was VERY different to experience the hotel when it had fewer guests.

“Stayed in comfort while on a business trip to Rota”

My husband had a two-week business trip in Rota, and I decided to join him. We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Playa de la Luz! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Our first night wasn’t the most comfortable due to the mattress in our room, but after speaking with the front desk, we upgraded to one of the newer rooms with a balcony for an additional 10 euros per night. It was absolutely worth it! The newer rooms are spacious and made our stay much more enjoyable. The hotel’s beachfront location was perfect for morning and evening walks. While my husband was at work, I often walked into town for lunch and sightseeing. The walk to the town center takes about 20–30 minutes, depending on your pace. The hotel restaurant offered good food at a reasonable price. We mostly ate in town to enjoy the delicious food available in Rota and the surrounding area. We highly recommend staying at Hotel Playa de la Luz!

“Lovely resort style hotel”
Beautiful location. Great staff, very attentive and polite. We only wished for a better breakfast as it was lack of greens or vegetables in general. “Scenic Ocean Bliss”
Sand Sun Sea Meditation tranquility ambiance serenity ✨️ sunrise n sunsets are amazing location is cool staff friendly n courteous. Breakfast was also amazingly tasty and buffet style and array of pastries scrambled eggs and omelettes on request a Spaniards Haven!
