“Great stay at this Hotel”

We had not stayed in a Hotel for a while other than short stays, so this is somewhat of a different stay for us of 10 Nights normally we have stayed in villas or apartments. We had sourced the Hotel from a previous Island visit and liked the local beaches. The Stay was Lovely and apart from a Jeep Safari trip to Cofete we stayed on the local Esmeralda/Sotavento beach. We normally hire a car to tour but found this Hotel to be ideal.Great Location, nice good quality meals at half board and pleasant and courteous staff. Our Room with a Sea view was very comfortable with a large Beds together. On arrival, we were issued with wristbands which had a chip in them which allowed you to open the room door and register any spend such as Drinks ect during the Day and Evening meal. We had been pre warned and offered the chance by Jet2holidays to change accommodation due to possible Noise and Dust as there were renovations happening with new tiles being laid in the Pool area but this did not cause any issues. An app downloaded on to your phone enabled you to have all the Hotel information as a guide. It would be good if the technology in the future could give you an update of any additional spend. We found the Hotel was of a Very good standard with additional Coffee's and alcoholic Drinks ect at a good price. We really enjoyed our stay and would be more than happy to return sooner rather than later.Thank you for the stay

“Amazing 3rd stay”

Arrived on 11th March for 9 nights, requested a room of our choice via email and we were pleased with our room. This was our 3rd visit, booked Privilege Package again and everything was great from checking in smoothly and our cases were taken to our room. Privilege rooms are located at the lower end of the hotel, sea views are amazing. We noticed this time the bathrooms have been updated with a walk in shower. There is still work going on replacing the tiles around the pool area but this did not spoil our holiday, the noise and disruption was kept to a minimum, Privilege Package Al Inclusive - Better rooms -A La Carte Restaurant for dinner and breakfast -Mini bar replenished daily -Bottles of water daily in room -Privilege lounge, outdoor seating and sunbed area -Mikes Coffee Bar -Premium drinks and choice of wine -Rooms cleaned twice a day, towels changed and towels for sun beds -Exclusive menu choice at lunchtime pool bar There are water stations around the hotel that you can refill your bottles. The new wristbands are a great idea which you use to access your room and the staff scan at the bars. The H10 app is easy to use which we downloaded before we arrived. All of the staff are friendly and work so hard. The hotel is kept so clean in all of the areas. We had a great holiday, plenty of sun, relaxation, good food and drink served by great staff. Well done H10 Playa Esmeralda you have got everything sorted to maintain a great holiday for your visitors. We have read some poor reviews about this hotel, all we can say is this is one of our top best hotels we have stayed at in the Canaries and we are looking at booking again! Thank you once again!

This was our second visit to Playa Esmeralda. Again we had a great time. We were greeted as old friends, it was such a lovely feeling, like coming home! Although there was some renovation work being done around the pool this did not spoil our holiday as the workman were very professional and kept the noise down as much as possible, it will look stunning when it's finished. Again thank you to all the staff for their hard work, they all work tirelessly to make sure every guest has an enjoyable time. We enjoyed it so much that we have already booked to go back in September and the following January!

On the whole we had an enjoyable week. There are lots of positives with the hotel. Lovely lobby bar with great views. We knew work was going on around the pool area which was OK. Food in restaurant was good. Downside in restaurant was that you just walked in, no Maitre D as such. The last two days seem to get really busy, so we had trouble finding a clean table. The waiting staff were running round like headless chickens trying to cope. This really needs to be addressed. One night there were no waiting staff in lobby bar for a time and staff behind the bar were struggling. Employ more staff and definitely address the restaurant issue.
