It was a nice and spacious location right at the ocean. I enjoyed the variety of classes and option for different workouts. Especially the olympic lifting and metcon/ x-fitness classes with Stephane. He is a great coach and gave me some really helpful tips on my olympic lifts. Rooms and surroundings at the hotel were always super clean. The breakfast selection was diverse and also very good.

We have been coming here for a few years with a group of disabled veterans and the staff have been super accommodating in the classes. Shout out to the French instructor Stephane who has been doing the Workout of the day and also METCON giving us exercises for all ranges and also disability’s if you not done a class with him I would highly recommend. Also great instructors this year who have made the trip extra special Elka with yoga Jonna stretching and pond Kitty boxing The resort is super clean and enjoyable to be around with so much going on. We still have a few days left but I would highly recommend attending classes and and trying something new.

First of all: we have never been on holiday in the same place twice, not even thinking of the same hotel! But here at Playitas it is different, we are total fans of the whole concept. The facility is great, the food is top notch and the best thing are the coaches who work here. We would particularly like to highlight Stephane Bacchellerie (former professional triathlete) because he makes a sustainable difference with his encyclopedic knowledge and his trained eye for the right posture. Even professional athletes we have met confirm the high quality of his classes. He is one of the main reasons why we have booked for the third time and are really looking forward to our training camp with sun, good food and nice active people.

The Good The resort is modern and spotlessly clean, with lovely manicured gardens around it. There's a wide variety of sports - definitely something for everyone. The rooms are clean, well maintained, modern and very comfortable with good facilities. The staff are all very nice and very helpful. All the pools are very nice, clean and with more than enough sun loungers to go around. The black sand beach is very nice. The resort is large, so you never feel cooped up like you can do on other smaller resorts. There is the choice of two buffet restaurants, a pool bar, an a la carte restaurant and then three small local restaurants in the little fishing village attached (a 10 min walk away). The Not so Good: For the large majority of the sports you need to book. There is an app where you can see the day's schedule, but you are not able to see how many places there are available nor book online. To book you need to go to the booking office (in the sports clothing shop in the middle of the resort) and book in person. You can only book a class 24 hours in advance. The popular classes get booked up VERY quickly, meaning if you want to join the class you're going to have to get up very early the day before and head to the booking office 24 hours before to try to get a spot (this is not very relaxing on a holiday). This also means that you have no hope of booking the popular classes on your first day. It is pretty annoying to have to keep walking to the booking office only to be told that the class you would like is already fully booked. The booking is done by writing your name down on a list on a bit of paper (very un-tech). The place is generally short staffed. There was only one or two people at the pool bar, which meant at lunchtime there were very long queues and a one hour wait to get your lunch after ordering. The staff work very hard, but there's just not enough of the them. It was the same for the jazz evening. After waiting for 30 mins we gave up on trying to order a drink. At the pool, if you don't want to drink your drink in the pool bar (and instead drink it by your sun lounger/elsewhere), then you have to pay 1 euro for a plastic cup per drink. You can reuse the cup, but it means you need to wash it and remember to take it with you when ordering your next drink. This is MEGA annoying, as after queuing for ages to get a drink, you then remember you've forgotten your plastic cup and have the choice of either paying ad additional 1 euro per drink again, or going and getting your cup and queuing up again. The resort says it's to help the environment, but clearly this is not, it's so they don't have to hire more staff to collect classes around the pool. It's good to note that there are two ends of the resort, one which is more of a hotel and the other end which has mini apartments. Each end has it's own pool and buffet restaurant. The hotel side tends to be more couples and the mini apartments more families. If you stay at one end, you are not allowed to eat at the other end's buffet (they will let you reluctantly let you do this once). This wasn't so great for us as it meant our group couldn't all eat breakfast together nor eat dinner together at the buffet restaurants. The food in the buffet is standard, all inclusive resort type food.
