What a wonderful 5 star experience. We spent 11 nights at the tail end of Feb 25 which covered a Birthday and our Wedding anniversary. The management and staff made both days very special Thank You Again. We have stayed with The Seaside group before and some of their sister hotels, so we know that the service and standards are to a very high level. We used the all inclusive package which was great. Top brands are standard. As always with Seaside the staff are fantastic and make you feel like you are a special member of the family. The food is WOW and I mean WOW such a great concept alternate evenings of table service and a themed BBQ / buffet with the food to a very high standard. There are also 2 fine Al a Carte restaurant which was part of our package. The age as most hotels in the Islands at this time of year is mature which gives it a very relaxed feel so no Dooff Dooff music. There is a fantastic gym and sauna area which are very good. 2 very large relaxing pools with jacuzzi areas. Children have their own pools and play areas. Rooms are too a high standard with fully stocked mini bar and are very clean. There was nothing to fault in our stay and we will certainly return.

“Removal of pigeons.”

We have been visiting this hotel for 18 years on a regular basis. It has always been our hotel of choice for a lovely holiday in Gran Canaria. It is an excellent hotel. However, this year, after arrival and accessing our 5th floor room, we viewed from our balcony the pool and garden area below. We immediately noticed a cage positioned very visibly, directly above the restaurant at 2nd floor level which contained two pigeons. On closer inspection, we realised that it was a trap, with food and water to lure pigeons into. Once entered, they were unable to exit. The cage was even more apparent when sitting outside the restaurant. After two days, there were almost a dozen distressed and frantic pigeons in this 2 metre x 1 metre square cage. We expressed our concerns, separately , to two senior management staff. Both advised that the cage was installed by contractors employed to 'remove' the pigeons. Neither could tell us when the pigeons would be removed or the fate that was awaiting them. They also advised that the high visibility of the cage was intentional, in order to show guests that they were doing something about the pigeons. We advised that we had never found the pigeons or other birds an issue on our stays there. As a London person, I am not naive to the issues around pigeons, but I found this entrapment of the birds very disturbing and cruel. Especially as I suspect the pigeons were to meet a grisly end. I am sure others will disagree and not see what my issue is, but after reading this review, they will now be informed .

“Good hotel with a few niggles”

My superior double room came with fridge,kettle and 3 uncomfortable retro style metal chairs. Aircon was inneffective and room may get hot in summer. Bathroom was small but had a walk in shower. My superior double room came with fridge,kettle and 3 uncomfortable retro style metal chairs. Aircon was inneffective and room may get hot in summer. Bathroom was small but had a walk in shower. Limited accessible plugs for kettle and phone charging. WiFi signal intermittent. Sun beds were abundant but best ones were taken by 7am Restaurant was all outdoor seating so a sweater may be needed in winter. Breakfast had good selection with eggs and bacon cooked to order. Dinner a mixture of self service BBQ and waiter service on some nights. I preferred BBQ due to larger variety of dishes Service and staff excellent. Most guests were older Germans Do check your bill on leaving as I was charged for pre paid items.
