We stayed for a week in October and really enjoyed our stay. Es Cana is a beautiful resort and the Caribe is right in the centre of it. The rooms were clean and tidy, a good base for a weeks stay. The food was ok, a bit repetitive, but we always managed to find something to eat. The staff were friendly and helpful and everywhere was kept clean. The entertainment was a bit hit and miss, but it was the end of the season. Not a massive amount for kids to do, but again, this could have been as things were starting to wind down. Overall a good hotel with a great location.

The hotel is in a good spot, situated a 2 minute walk from the beach with lots of shops and chemists nearby. Plenty of cash machines around although watch out for some of the charges. The hotel is cleaned top to bottom every day and the room was spotless, shower worked very well every time we used it. Room has air con but we didn't use it. The pool is good size, yes there are people still reserving sunbeds although there are signs up about not doing that but there are still plenty of spaces. There is a smaller childrens pool with slides, water features and so on. The gym was closed when we were there but it looked quite large for a hotel of this size. For food, the restaurant had a constantly changing selection of meals and there is plenty of variety, don't know what some reviewers are complaining about we found it very good. Meat, salads, fish, rice, chips, yoghurts, cakes, pastries, fruit you name it. The only small complaint was the coffee machine took a while which did lead to some queuing at meal times. We were staying all inclusive so drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, are on a token system where you are given the tokens at check in and hand the token in for a cup which you either keep for refills or give back to get the token back. Seemed to work fine as far as I could see. Beer was San Miguel, pretty good. Didn't try the wine or sangria but the cocktails were OK if a little strange coming out of a machine. The coke and lemonades were fine. The entertainment was on the basic side, not a lot going on but the staff do their best with the daytime activities like French bowls, darts, pool etc. Evenings there was a childrens disco and sometimes a singer or just music playing. If you're looking for a crazy nightime experience this hotel is certainly not for you but there are karaoke bars in the near vicinity if you want that. Some good bars and restaurants a few minutes walk away too.

“Fine for a holiday in the sun”
Average Spanish hotel with no major issues Food options for lunch and dinner was very limited , I am guessing this was due to end of season and not many people in the hotel. The hotel was clean and nice. Five minutes to walk to beach. Would be a great hotel in main summer season
