Hotel Zurbarán in Palma de Mallorca is a good hotel. It's located in a very quiet area, in a street where there is hardly any traffic; an one way road actually. Albeit it's not close to the city center, it's well communicated by bus, the relevant stops being not far from the hotel. On foot it takes roundabout forty minutes to get to the center. It's a nice walk anyway. On the other hand it's neither far from the Plaza Gomila, which is the core of a Palma district called “El Terreno” where there is usually a lively atmosphere in the evening, particularly in summer. The bedroom I was allocated is quite comfortable, especially the bed, whose mattress has got the right toughness to assure a good rest. Inside the room there is everything one may need. The table desk is by the way quite appropriate to get some work done. It has a nice view to an interior garden where one can breath peacefulness. The room is indeed rather calm, and just the voices of other guests in the corridor are heard from time to time, something which doesn't amount to a disturbing fact as it doesn't take place often, and at all at night. The staff members are very kind and helpful, especially the ladies working in the breakfast room. In spite of that, the lady working at the front desk with whom I did the check-in requested me then to pay the price of my stay at the hotel, although it had already been paid upon booking. Similar facts are not rare in Spain, so one ought to pay much attention in such cases, particularly in the tourist field. The breakfast is very good and abundant. There is a buffet with a great variety of food, and all products are of a high quality. Unfortunately, the music spoils the nice atmosphere that otherwise would reign there. Eating the breakfast there could be a pleasure if one's ears weren't hammered by disagreeable sounds. In general the hotel is therefore a good one and not expensive. A negative point is perhaps the fact that nearly all the time there is an awful music on the ground floor. That's rather annoying when one is for instance at the bar or at the lobby. In any case, the hotel is a recommendable place to stay, but one must be aware of the receptionist.

Breakfast is extremely good for €11 pp. Location is fine if you have good mobility as its uphill from the sea front. What makes this hotel? THE STAFF, they go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. A special shout out to Lukas on reception who is just amazing. Our only little niggle is there is no tea/coffee facilities in the rooms, but available 24/7 from the bar in reception. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again

What a lovely hotel. I visited Palma in 2017 and stayed in a villa on the same street, so I knew the location would be great. It is lovely and quiet around the hotel, but the main road (Joan Miró) is just 2 mins walk away with a variety of lively bars, restaurants, cafés, convenience stores and pharmacies. There is a large supermarket (Mercadona) 5 mins walk away. You can walk right into the city centre, Marina etc. from the hotel in 15-20 minutes. Porto Pí shopping centre with a huge Carrefour is accessible by foot (20 mins) or by bus from Joan Miró. The hotel has room at the front for taxi drop off if you need it. Upon arrival I was greeted by a friendly member of staff at check in, he was helpful and explained everything to me that I needed including WiFi, breakfast etc. There are maps at the reception desk too if you need them. I stayed on the second floor and there is an elevator if you have heavy bags. I didn’t use it but there is a small café-bar on the ground floor near reception; it has a very calm and peaceful decor. There is always someone at reception 24/7 if you need them. The room was a twin/double for solo use and I felt safe as a female solo traveller. The beds were super comfy and there are plenty of pillows. There is a mini bar in the room which means you can also store your own refreshments which is handy - don’t have to go back and forth from the shops too much. Plenty of storage in the wardrobe and there is a safe too. The balcony was lovely - what I would do to be back on there with a cold cerveza watching the sunset. Bathroom was clean and contemporary with shampoo, shower gel and soap. My room was spotless every day thanks to cleaning staff. There is AC in the room. Only downside is there is no swimming pool but you are not far from the beaches and you can always purchase day passes for other hotel pools and spas. Breakfast buffet has a very wide choice and a coffee machine (plus teas). I would definitely stay here again when I come back to Palma!!
