A Delightful February Half-Term Stay! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the wonderful Dennie, who greeted us at the hotel and kindly assisted with our luggage. The hotel entrance is grand, offering an impressive view of the Plaza—the vibrant heart of the resort. Check-in was seamless, complete with a refreshing welcome drink and an overview of the thoughtfully designed resort, which, despite its size, is laid out for easy accessibility. Our room overlooked the family pool area and featured its own private Bali bed. It was spacious, spotlessly clean, and equipped with comfortable beds. Conveniently located on the same level as the Plaza, the room still felt private and met all our needs. After a late arrival, we headed to dinner. Although we hadn’t made a reservation, the buffet restaurant proved to be a perfect, hassle-free option. A highlight for our little boy, who is dinosaur and superhero-obsessed, was walking into the Plaza and being greeted by life-sized dinosaurs! His excitement was priceless. The Plaza itself is stunning, hosting most of the dining options and evening entertainment, all of which surpassed our expectations. The next morning began with breakfast at the Oasis in the exclusive Red Level area, and it was truly a treat. We were greeted by none other than Hulk and Iron Man—what a memorable start to the day! The views from the restaurant were stunning, and the staff were exceptional. Special thanks to Rosana for her attentiveness and care. A standout was Oscar, the incredible crepe maker. Each day, he delighted our kids by crafting pancakes shaped like their favorite characters, from Spiderman to Stitch. He was a true gentleman and added a personal touch that made breakfast extra special. With the sun shining, our children couldn’t wait to dive into the splash area and pirate ship—one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. But the experience went far beyond expectations. The children’s entertainment here is phenomenal. It's the first time we've found a hotel that rivals the magic of Disney, with a vast array of activities and character experiences that made every day exciting. Evening shows were entertaining for both kids and adults. There was also a discreet area with go-karts, bouncy castles, trampolines, balloon stands, and face painting. Daytime activities included pedal boats, magic water mats, and inflatable water games—our children were in their element, and it truly made parenting feel easier. The guest service team, Marta & Varinia were outstanding, ensuring our comfort by arranging a Bali bed for shade and responding to every request. There were plenty of sunbeds available, and we learned from General Manager Adam (who we met while searching for Spiderman) that the hotel is in the process of renewing many of them. Maggie, a Circle staff member, was incredibly helpful and informative. Poolside service was excellent, with drinks and food delivered promptly. The Mexican lunch option was a particular favorite. As a family that travels often, it’s rare to find a hotel that blends luxury with engaging experiences for the children, without sacrificing time together. Adam, General Manger was keen to hear our feedback. Having recently joined the hotel after years with Melia, his passion and vision were clear. It's no surprise that the staff hold him in high regard. His approachability and dedication to enhancing the resort made a lasting impression. On our check-out day, we had a late flight, and the hotel kindly offered us a late check-out to make our departure more relaxed. To our surprise and delight, they went above and beyond by recognizing our son Jude's 3rd birthday. Without us even asking, they made the day extra special by sending a Spiderman-themed cake—Jude's favorite—along with balloons and candles and even a bubbly treat for us Adults ! It was such a thoughtful gesture that made the celebration truly memorable and added an extra layer of magic to our stay. We’re already looking forward to our next visit later this year!

“A great resort”
We have been here once before and although it is away from the main resorts in the south of the island it is very comfortable and well maintained. The food and entertainment are very good and the staff extremely friendly.

“The best for families in Tenerife”

Our second stay in 6 months at the Gran Melia. This is the best luxury all-inclusive for families we have found in Tenerife. Food is incredible and the staff are all wonderful. So much on for kids and the kids team work so hard. We will be returning for a third time. I can understand bad reviews in peak school holidays if queues are bad but this is absolutely not a problem out of season. Rooms could do with an update but we were barely in it, I understand they are slowly renovating them. If you have kids 8 and under this is a perfect hotel.

Beatiful hotel, nice pools, mostly friendly staff. Family pool and kids pools nice temperature. Lagoon pool bit chilly, but ok once you get there. Room, suite red level for families, a bit old but clean. Sound proofing quite bad, but we had quite peaceful location. We tried all restaurants includind La Terasse, Agave food not so great, others good. Mostly service was nice, but in Teppanaki very slow and litlle rude (do not know if it was a bad day). I would not go there another time, food was good though. As others have stated, hotel is clearly understaffed and some people working there are not so experienced but mostly wonderful and really trying. I was a bit dissapointed that red level for families breakfast was moved from oasis to pangea. Buffet was quite busy time to time. No plates etc. Also it was many times quite a long wait to get coffee and your breakfast orders. On the other hand, it was very easy to get drinks service to kids pool. Never a long wait. So, overall hotel is really beatiful, lots to do (used gym, tennis, paddle court, pools, social football etc), food is good and people working there is nice. We did not try pangea during dinner. I think because red level we managed to get in a la carte every night. Thanks to red level team. Through the app it would have been difficult/impossible. Would I go back? Maybe. Probably not without red level.
