"Had a lovely 10 days at this hotel. We stayed in a Junior suite on floor P which was huge. Loads of storage, large bed, sofa, chairs and large balcony. Bathroom had two wash basins, fridge in room and good sized TV. The cleaners were very thorough and friendly. Many reviews say the hotel is dated, yes, it's not a 5 star, but definitely a 4 star. There are many rooms and total refurbishment would be very costly, I think many hotels are still recovering from losses during Covid. Unless you pay much more for a 5 star, I think these large hotels would all be similar. Pool area is really nice with plenty of sunbeds, palm trees and shaded area. The outside cafe has drinks, rolls etc. All the staff work extremely hard and at a fast pace. The buffet is what you would expect and we found there was plenty of choice, well presented and cooked. No sign of food poisoning from us. There is currently a lot of norovirus everywhere which is highly contagious. We did see guests handling the bread and not using tongs. Also, an item was dropped on the floor and then put back on a plate! Well spotted by a waiter and taken away. Queuing was short and staff efficient at seating. For a supplement you can eat at the Italian/Mediterranean restaurant by the pool. This is waiter service and a good choice of food. We were half board, but drinks, wine and coffee very cheap. A very good value holiday with plenty of February sun. We didn't watch much of the entertainment, but they were all very enthusiastic. The hotel has a good position right by the sea with a few minutes walk into Town Centre with cafes along the promenade. Easy to go for an evening stroll. The Bahia is the best hotel of those along the front of Puerto de la Cruz."

The hotel met our expectations. The room was excellent with the biggest balcony we ever got with the views over to the ocean and also Mount Teide. The room was spacious comfortable and clean. The mattress on the king size bed was really comfortable. There was a lot of draws and big wardrobe to put all our things. The food in the buffet restaurant was ok even though little bit basic. The breakfast was good with a great selection we especially liked the bread rolls choice. The staff was very nice and friendly. Dinner was not as good and we sometimes struggled to choose what to have, the deserts get replaced but the best ones go quickly and the replacement is not the same I missed the chocolate cakes as there wasn’t a lot of those on offer. Also both of us were ill for a day with stomach bug and as we only eat at the hotel probably got it there, I thought mine was from the chicken steak cooked on the grill as was a bit pink I stopped eaten it but by then was too late. All in all we had a good holiday. PDLC was as lovely as we hoped and we chose the hotel for the location. Also went for a trip booked with agency at the reception and was excellent, would recommend Mount Teide plus Masca trip. Would recommend the hotel and the location.

“Tenerife birthday hols”
The hotel was generally good. Our room was very noisy as maids store room was above. The maids and staff were very helpful and friendly. Need to check hotel app for prices of drinks as no cash is acceptable at bars. Prices were different at every visit to bsr. Pool was lovely. Great location.

We have stayed at Bahia hotels previously that have been better than this one. Location was as described and fabulous sea view from our larger than average balcony. I felt that the staff were biased towards the German tourists ( we were one of only a handful of English tourists). On arrival we were only told our room number floor number and where the restaurant was. We were not offered towels for the pool or safe rental. However other guests were! Food was plentiful but not always very hot. Lots of pork on offer but chicken sausages🤷♀️. Chops, chicken breasts etc were griddled with garlic oil which spoilt them. Staff in restaurant work really hard and definitely deserve a mention. Evening entertainment was dismal so returned to balcony with a drink. Pool area was lovely and resort had a relaxed vibe (tip -if you visit local restaurants along the sea front check what they are charging for as we got overcharged on 2occasions - no apologies when I pointed it out they just gave money back so it felt like it was a normal thing to do).

“Fantastic staff … below average food… 3 star hotel at most!!!”

First of all I’d like to say the staff are AMAZING!!! Couldn’t fault them whatsoever!!! But unfortunately the hotel is just a average 3 star hotel that is very dated in places!! We stayed all inclusive which was worth it for just the drinks alone!! But unfortunately the food wasn’t up to much!! Breakfast was 3/10 Who want’s chicken sausage for breakfast???? The plates absolutely stunk (lucky to get a clean 1) Lunch/Tea was a slight improvement but cold chicken and soggy chips just cut it for me!! Absolutely zero choice for little 1s also!! Seem to cater more for the German/Spanish!! Rooms are adequate yet dated… Maids are amazing cleaned rooms every day!!! Pool was freezing (supposedly “heated”) Entertainment staff we’re 11/10 absolute credit to the hotel!!!! Deserve a massive Pat on the back 👏 But overall we had a average stay but if it’s cheap n cheerful this maybe the hotel for you!! Also the hotel needs to look at the pool steps they are EXTREMELY SLPPPY!!! I seen a lot of people slip on them whilst entering the pool!! Even myself on the first day!!! Needs looking at ASAP before a serious accident happens!!!!
