This Hotel is located close to the Bonito River and at walking distance from Bahía Manzano, in Villa La Angostura.. The attention at the front desk is so kind that you can anticipate an excellent service. And you will feel motivated when you see the wide and comfortable room that awaits you two levels down (the Hotel Front Desk is in the second floor). A nice private terrace, full bathroom with hydromassage, TV set and minibar complete your room. I would just improve two things: breakfast variety (too simple for this quality of hotel) and internet availability in the rooms as the signal was lost easily and randomly. The hot pool at the spa was wonderful and was easily converted on sunny hot days to an outdoor pool. Common areas included a computer spot, a pool table, a poker table and a wide TV screen where some movies are projected every night. it is an ideal place if you want to rest in a quiet environment. A car is recommended as the hotel is about 5-6 kilometers from downtown La Angostura, though it is at walking distance from two or three restaurants. It has parking place availability free of charge. From the hotel you can follow a path that will take you to the Bonito River. A nice walk to a clear water river about 50 meters down the hill. The roar of the river might be something to think about when choosing your room but at the same time, it might be a pleasant nature sound to induce your sleep.

This is a nice facility, fairly new it appears to be. A big 'however' is that no one on-site speaks English, not even a little . . . not the evening we checked in nor either of two days thereafter. Now to be clear, it's not our expectation that we deserve more or are entitled, not at all, but trying to check in was very challenging and getting any routine help during our stay - directions, telephone assistance, the hotel restaurant's hours and prices, guidance and assistance about the nearby National Park and the boat rides to/from - simply didn't happen. So we ended up using it strictly for the room and the continental breakfast, which cost us some time as it's 8-10 minutes outside of town. Further as to housekeeping details, which may relate to its being new, in the room there were: - no facecloths - no paper writing pad or pen/pencil - no explanation how to operate the in-room safe - poor removal of bathroom humidity by the fan - no air-conditioning/thermostat (not that we needed it) Again and now to close, it's a nice place - just be aware.

Outside you see a beautiful building in harmony with the surroundings. Inside, the same: Rooms have plenty space, everything looks new. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. Enough electric plugs for our gadgets. Nice bathroom (but with a design that let the room get wet when you take a bath). Nice pool with nice temperature and retrievable roof. There are two girls that are at the front desk at different shifts that are very kind. One of them let us leave our luggage for few hours after checkout prior to our departure (which is normal somewhere else but we thought they wouldn’t let us based on previous events). Wifi is included but very weak signal and speed. Breakfast is included but very reduced and unattended (we found ourselves frequently with no plates, no bread, no “medialunas” (sweet croissant) and nobody to ask). In our second morning we got to see the lady in the restaurant and asked for more medialunas and she said: sorry, “only 1 medialuna per person according to owner’s order”. No lunch available. Dinner only limited to 9-11 pm. I asked reception morning boy about a delivery restaurant (which brochure was at their desk) and he told me that it is forbidden to ask for food delivery or to bring food to the hotel because you can't eat either in your room or in any location in the hotel: then I asked him what I was supposed to do and he said: easy, you need to leave the hotel…”orders from owner”. As conclusion you can't have a full relax day in the hotel because you are obligated to leave the hotel if you want to eat. Then, you need a car (which we didn't) or to take a taxi and pay about 95 pesos and 15-20 mins to go downtown. It is just inconvenient. Consider that check out is at 11 am. Well, congratulations to the architect and the interior designer. Hopefully future administration or owner changes would honor the place to provide service thinking on client's needs.
