“estadia en Rosario”
Excelent choice. The hotel is very well situated, the staff is very helpful. We will certainly choose again this hotel when returning to Rosario. The only thing that could be improved is the possibility of eating the bread of the day at breakfast.

My husband and I spent three nights at the Riviera. We booked through the Argentinian Automobile Club and got an upgraded Superior Room (520) which we found exceeded our expectations. Reception was friendly and efficient, as was check-out. In fact, I would say that both Hugo, who runs reception, and Juan Manuel, his assistant, were outstanding in solving any hiccups (we did return one afternoon to find housekeeping had neglected to replace towels, complimentary coffee and tea, and empty the rubbish bin; we also apparently were mistakenly checked-out a day before, as our electronic keys would not open on the second day) as well as recommending restaurants and calling taxis. The two are definitely an asset to the hotel. The Superior room, which is the biggest of the three existing bedroom categories and warrants a four-star rating, has a King sized bed, a complimentary set of coffee and tea, a stocked mini-fridge, ample storage space, and a table with two most comfortable armchairs, as well as a 42" TV screen. The carpet is a brownish colour, not very appealing, but not worn out. Bathroom still bears evidence that the hotel used to be called Riviera Palace (engraved on the glass screen that prevents water spillage in the bathtub). Bathroom could do with some renovations, such as removing the old whirlpool bath which is not working and has a sign that says: "Out of Service". The hair dryer is begging for retirement too. Air conditioning is individual and you can turn it on or off, programme temperature and set it to turn off in an hour. There is room service and the menu offers most of the fare you can find in the dining room. There is a special midday menu at a very reasonable price. A definite minus is the fact that as you step out of the elevators to your room, the hallways have no air conditioning, so that they are stuffy and hot. The hotel lobby is comfortable and spacious. Dining room is elegant. Breakfast is a notch better than the usual Argentinian spread of marmelades, breads, fruits, ham and cheese, cornflakes. It offers scrambled eggs made on request, which guarantees that they are not reheated. True, servings are a bit scant for American or English standards, but will do. Location is city centre. You can walk to the landmark Flag Monument (a good fifteen-minute walk, though) and to the riverside. Hugo will call a taxi for you should you need one, too. Regarding food, we had dinner on our first night there and found attentive service, good quality crockery and cutlery and good food, about the same price as in other local restaurants. We would definitely go back again, especially considering the U$S 90 we paid for room and breakfast per night.

Excellent reception - I had to spend a night in the hotel because there was a problem with check-in at another hotel where I had reservations . The attendants at reception of Solan Riviera were very kind and attentive to me and my wife . Just spent the night at the hotel, but I would return there, if visiting the city again: the rooms are clean and comfortable ; the location is excellent., the service was also friendly and attentive at checkout.

“Good option in Rosario”
Overall, this hotel is a nice place to stay in Rosario. And it's close to tourist points. It has clean rooms and the staff is very friendly. The rates are fair. I was personally expecting more from the breakfast, but the lunch and dinner menus are very diversified.
