We stayed for a few days as a multi-generational family, across multiple suites. Pro's: 1. This felt like living in a swanky Viennese apartment building - beautiful old building, high ceilings, decorated in style. With all the benefits of being in a hotel. It feels very special. 2. The lounge/salon/library area offers free tea and cake in the afternoons, with live music and a bar. Great way to regroup in the afternoons. 3. Great service in terms of suggesting restaurants and activities, and friendly staff at breakfast too. 4. Location is very hip - lots of interesting restaurants, bars and shops in the area. Clearly a place people live, rather than just a tourist area of the city. Great place for a longer stay where you can explore the neighbourhood. Con's: 1. The downside to the location is that it's a decent walk/train/train to the old city and some of the sights in Vienna. If those are the focus of your trip, and you're short on time, better to stay in the inner city. 2. If you need to park your car, it's about a 10 minute walk away (but otherwise a smooth process). Overall we loved this boutique hotel - highly recommend

“Everything was excellent”
Everytging was excellent. Very nice rooms, very comfortable. The staff is so kind. Breakfast very nice, also the tea time offer. Convenient bus stop just in front of the hotel. Very artistic style in the rooms and in the hotel. The bathroom is spaceous

“Feeling good in Hotel Altsadt”
The atmosphere in Hotel Altstadt was very special; art, literature and couple of times piano player made staying very memorable. Personal was very friendly. Breakfast was just lovely: porridge was everyday different and tasty. Teatime was enjoyable.

“A job well done”
The staff at this hotel are so helpful, friendly and accessible. We felt very looked after. The hotel is delightful and has amazing art, everywhere. It's not central yet it is close enough to get to all the sights. Well worth it. The museum area is a 20 minute walk.

“Fantastic stay”
It is truly a great hotel. The staff made sure to accommodate every wish we had. It was very quiet and clean. Breakfast was fabulous with a nice buffet selection and great things made to order. Location is convenient. Bed was very very comfy - one of the best i had experienced in a hotel.
