It's seems to have been built for a resort like type hotel, but it's sort of a basic hotel. We had a clean large room with 2 large beds. Nothing fancy, but it was large, clen and comfortable. The bathroom worked except some minor issues with the toilet seat and being pretty basic, but didn't see anything too bad about it. I don't know that I would choose to come and stay here for vacation but for a stopover on our way to Lancois NP it worked. You have to catch a cab or 2 separate busses from the airport to reach the hotel. It's one of the first ones at the beach, so that's why we stayed here. We paid 150R for a night. Main reason we decide to stay here was the very helpful stuff. First lady didn't speak any English, but we used Google translator on her phone and she was very nice and helpful. Another front desk attendant Daniel spoke English and was very helpful with booking our tour, flights and other things we needed. If it wasn't for him our stay wouldn't have been as easy in this area since not too many people seem to speak English. Overall nothing really bad I can say about this hotel. Nothing fancy, but to us it was clean, comfortable and not far from the airport as we weren't sure if we should stay in the historic area for safety reasons. I would stay here again.

I fell in love with the outer architecture when I saw the building. The interior has definitely seen better days. I got an overall feeling of a lack of care - everything functions, it's just not "nice". Part of the staff make up for this, though. Had my pocket square pressed in a jiffy while I was out for lunch - big thumbs up for the lady in the hotel laundry! The receptionist Francisco was nice too - he printed out my wedding speech after I had emailed him.
