“Central Location, Free Airport Pickup, and Tours”
I liked the fact that they have free airport pickup and dropoff. It saves a lot of money on taxis. The hotel is located in the center of downtown with many restaurants and shopping within blocks. I liked the fact that they have free airport pickup and dropoff. It saves a lot of money on taxis. The hotel is located in the center of downtown with many restaurants and shopping within blocks. It is close to the river. They also have a tour desk for Aurora tours. The rooms are decent sized with a kitchen and living space. The beds were comfortable to sleep in and the the heating was a bit weak. Noise level was low and the bed linens were clean and fresh. There is a nice restaurant in the lobby floor and a small souvenir shop. The reception was helpful. This hotel is good for tours around the area.

Love staying at the BW Gold Rush Inn. Our room was huge, loved it! This is my hotel choice, the staff are always so kind and helpful. Hotel is quiet and clean. “Bad shower pressure”
I did a lot of research before booking this hotel in Whitehorse because I don't like to stay in dumpy hotels. I did a lot of research before booking this hotel in Whitehorse because I don't like to stay in dumpy hotels. There are not a lot of chains in Whitehorse but this one was a chain I've stayed at before and thought it would be fine. It also appeared to be centrally located and nicer than surrounding hotels. The restaurant in the hotel is delicious and I wrote it it's own review praising the food. Unfortunately the fridge was unplugged and we weren't aware so we spoiled a lot of restaurant leftovers by putting them in the fridge once returning from dinner and when we went to eat them for lunch the next day they were bad. I complained at the front desk and they reduced our room by $50 which I appreciated as we spoiled $40 worth of food. The water pressure is straight up terrible. The shower head is a plastic old school style from the 80's or 90's it looks like. The water trickles out and I haven't washed my hair for four days because I know I won't be able to rinse it enough to get the shampoo etc out. Also the drain in the tub wouldn't drain, we left it with water and it never drained down and we had hoped it would get dealt with by house keeping flagging it but when we returned to the room the standing water was still there so I phoned the front desk. They sent someone up and they fixed it but then they were leaving and I asked if they could then send someone to wash the tub because it's had gross dirty water standing all day and he said oh I can do that and went back and cleaned it. It seems weird that they just assumed it didn't need to be cleaned. The room aside from the shower has been fine, they must have a cleaning schedule that isn't daily as they didn't do house keeping on our second day. Overall I probably would choose a different hotel next time just for the shower piece, but I would say this hotel is fine as long as it isn't costing crazy amounts. We got it for around 200/nt in late Oct.

“Read for hotel tips...”
A very old building with some upgrades. The small room we were assigned had no closet but a wooden wardrobe . I think a utility room for housekeeping took up that space from our room so everything was squeezed in. Ask not to have that as workers are stomping around slamming the door in the hall unk… more
A very old building with some upgrades. The small room we were assigned had no closet but a wooden wardrobe . Speaking of stomping. Do to it being an old structure the floors are thin, sqeeky, and not soundproof. As I write the people above us must be moving or having a kitchen party wow the noise. They are completely oblivious. Ask for a room on the top floor. The bathroom is small and mostly updated but someone thought it smart idea to put in the curved shower curtain rod which is so high the cloth curtain keeps moving and water gets out. You can't move the shower head because it's so high on the wall lol. If you like coffee you need to go down the road to Tim's. Oddly they have nespresso machines in the rooms with tiny mugs. Yuck not everyone likes these. Just keurig would have been perfect. They have the machine perched on a little table in the hall. It's just in the way. If you need a plug for your phones, iPad, etc. Bring your own extention cord as there aren't enough outlets . There's a fridge and microwave in the room. We unplugged the fridge because it was buzzing. There is a window you can open yeah fresh air. If you park at the meters in front of the hotel yes you'll get ticketed of you're not watching.
