This was our second time staying at Astoria Hotel and it did not disappoint. HOTEL/ROOM/CHECK-IN When we arrived at the hotel, there was a small queue of other guest checking in/out but it didn't take long at all. It was just as clean, well presented and organised as what we remembered it to be!☺️ We checked in, was given our room number, key cards and all the other relevant information such as breakfast times and wifi passwords. We stayed on the first floor and just used the stairs but there is a lift in the middle that can be used too. The room was lovely and spacious, overlooking the main road. The bathroom did have a bath with a shower aswell and a standard hairdryer attached to the wall. There was tea/coffee making facilities too. The room temperature was relatively easy to control with the dial that was on the wall, and we were able to open the windows if needed. There was a little bit of noise at night time from other people on the streets but nothing major, it didn't bother us. On our last day I found a little sewing kit in the wardrobe which was an absolute godsend because i'd ripped my coat prior to travelling to Prague. BREAKFAST The breakfast time is 7am-10:30am, I think it can get a little busy at breakfast from about 8am onward but we didn't have any problems as we decided to get up early every morning. There was a decent amount of food to choose from, such as bacon, fried/scrambled eggs, toast, meats, cereal, fresh fruit. Can't fault it at all, it was all hot and freshly prepared. LOCATION As we had stayed here previously in April 2023, we already knew the location of Astoria hotel was spot on. Its literally around the corner from the Powder Gate Tower and only a short 5-10 minute walk (depending on walking speed) from the Old Town Square, where the Astronomical Clock is located. It's a 15 minute walk from this hotel to the Charles Bridge. I also just have to mention that the Indian Jewel restaurant across the road does amazing food! CHECK-OUT Check out was at 11am, very straight forward and we paid the tourist taxes on checkout too. We had an evening flight and left our luggage at the hotel which was only a very small fee which was equivalent to about €1/€2. We were given a number and the same number was stuck on both our suitcases so that the staff knew they were ours. We waited in the lobby area for a little bit, before it was time to get a taxi to the airport. The wifi is still accessible from the lobby which is great because it helped to pass the time. We've already recommended this hotel to family/friends who are looking to visit Prague next year and when we visit Prague again in the future, this is where we will stay ❤️

“Very nice hotel, quiet, clean, near of the main square,cafffes, McDonalds,tram shopping mall, it is worth of your money!”

Nice hotel,very quite, it is in the center, and very near to the main square.We just took accommodation, without breakfast, so I cannot rate it, but the room is clean, not so big, but very comfortable bed, and it was warm. Nice hotel,very quite, it is in the center, and very near to the main square.We just took accommodation, without breakfast, so I cannot rate it, but the room is clean, not so big, but very comfortable bed, and it was warm. The lady on the the desk was very polite, our room was cleaned everyday, you have a mini bar also. And near of the hotel you have McDonalds, a big shopping mall, the tram and bus station, the main square with a lot of restaurants and caffees, so it is on a good place, where you have everything!And it is valued for your money!

“Good location, okay room.”

The hotel is in a good location if you're wanting to be walking distance to Old Town Square. The room was fine but there was no outlook/vibe. The hotel is in a good location if you're wanting to be walking distance to Old Town Square. The room was fine but there was no outlook/vibe. Definitely upgrade to a room with a balcony/view if you can. The pictures are a bit misleading and what looks to be a rooftop/patio isn't. Breakfast was included in the rate I booked and was also fine but I probably wouldn't pay extra for it when there's plenty of cute cafes in the area.

“Well located hotel”

Pretty basic hotel (no bar, restaurant only for breakfast) but located 5 minutes from the central square and the main Christmas Market. Hard to control the heat in the room. Pretty basic hotel (no bar, restaurant only for breakfast) but located 5 minutes from the central square and the main Christmas Market. Hard to control the heat in the room. Our solution was to just open the window. Rooms are small but the bed is comfortable. Plenty of bars and restaurants in the immediate neighborhood so overall not much to complain about.
