No kidding, Pavlo made all the difference. Instead of just a dry "Hello, How are you", we got a nice and warm welcome, spiced with a bit of dry humour welcome that makes us want to come back. If you're looking for a comfortable stay in the heart of Prague, Mercure is a fantastic choice! The city's main attractions are within walking distance, yet the area remains quiet at night, ensuring a good night’s sleep on comfy beds. We got lucky – instead of a standard economy room, we were upgraded to a better category! The room had everything we needed, including a tea set, plus some lovely surprises: a delicious pastry and a bottle of red wine. A special shoutout to ADEL, the receptionist, who provided all the necessary details and even gave us a free drink voucher for a partner restaurant and a discount card for museum visits. The hotel is surrounded by a variety of restaurants catering to different tastes, and there’s also a lounge area offering unlimited snacks, sandwiches, desserts, and drinks for just €20. ✨ If you're planning a trip to Prague – highly recommended!

The hotel is located in a central and safe location, and is close to some of the major landmarks in the city. It was also pretty well maintained given the age, very clean and tidy. The included breakfast buffet was excellent, definitely one of the best breakfast buffets I've had in a long time. There was plenty of variety, all the typical foods one would have for breakfast was available plus there were nice little local touches of pastries. The quality of the food was also delicious, and tasted like it was made with lots of TLC. Breakfast service was top notch, and I really appreciated the breakfast service staff as they went to great lengths to clear tables promptly and make sure everything was running smoothly. Notably, they went the extra mile to make sure I had a nice breakfast experience for a special occasion. Service at reception also gets top marks, and I appreciated that they provided good local suggestions rather than steering me towards more touristy options for places to eat and how to best travel through the city. Very spacious bathroom and guest room. My only critique is that the acoustics between the room and the hallway is very poor, as I was able to make out every word of any conversation that other guests were having in the hall leading to the other rooms. Fortunately, noise between my room and the next room over was minimal in comparison and I never had issues with noise keeping me awake at night.
