Fantastic hotel located in the centre of the old town of Metz. The hotel was immaculate and the room boasted a free range of (Nuxe) toiletries. The extra large bed was extremely comfortable and the large flatscreen TV had a range of channels. The free drinks in the mini fridge were a lovely addition, as well as the bathrobes and slippers. The staff were very attentive and Loyse was very accommodating! She could not do enough for us. An iron arrived in less than 5 minutes when requested and a jug of milk arrived too. Thank you for a lovely stay!

While the hotel was well presented and warm, it was quite a walk up the pedestrian precinct with suit cases for two late 60's people where one was disabled and recently had heart surgery. The dificulty was not so much the walk as once at the hotel there is a lift available which there is not at the public car park that is nearest hotel. All the parking levels come out on a shopping concourse at one level below street level where the only exit to street level was up a set of about 30 stairs. Although this is not in the control of the hotel I think future users should be aware of the draw back to parking. My only critisism of the hotel was the breakfast layout which felt cramped for the number of users and there was a poor selection compared to other hotels I'd used that week, the ONE coffee machine produced a queue of at least 6 people constantly whilst we were at breakfast. During breakfast the machine needed replenishing which a young member of staff started to do but half way through seemed to prioritise clearing a recently vacated table over finishing replenishing the coffee machine. This I put down to inexperience or lack of supervision of the staff who all appeared to be very young compared to the other hotels (a total of 5) that I'd stayed at the previous week.

This quant boutique hotel is in a great location, only a five minute walk to the Cathedral and near many other sites. The staff was very welcoming, helpful and made a great restaurant /dinner recommendation. The breakfast was wonderful with a traditional French flare including a nice assortment of breads and freshly made sweet pastry. The only negative is that our room, overlooking the street, was extremely noisy during the night.

I was a bit concerned about parking in a public car park for three days but in the event it was trouble free and easy. Hotel also offered a discounted payment which was explained clearly on arrival. Room was good. Pull down sofa for my son was comfortable and shower etc better than adequate. Staff were all friendly and helpful with enough English to help our stuttering French. Breakfast was good for price but on one of the two mornings the coffee machine broke down and caused a lot of issues in a very busy breakfast area. Position was superb, with easy access to Metz sites. Lots of restaurants nearby abd hotel bar was pleasant. Will definitely use again on future cross France journeys.
