“Excellent and hugely friendly welcome. Comfortable room perfect!”
After a long journey, we received a stellar welcome in the evening, on our arrival. The gentleman who checked us in was hugely friendly, nothing was a problem and he made absolutely sure that we had everything we wanted. After a long journey, we received a stellar welcome in the evening, on our arrival. The gentleman who checked us in was hugely friendly, nothing was a problem and he made absolutely sure that we had everything we wanted. The rooms were absolutely fine after a days travelling and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms were not massive, but perfectly adequate, clean and comfortable. Great location for early departure from the Gare de Lyon. Plenty of local restaurants to walk to. Will use this hotel again in the future for travelling through Paris. Thank you to the friendly manager who greeted us.

“Clean family room”
Very suitable place for a family to stay before a train from GARE de Lyon: - Super close to the station - Clean and secure room - Helpfully provided a family sized room of 5 people (very hard to find in Paris) - Friendly service - Good wifi - Free drinking water Merci!

“Ideal, in many respects!”
We stayed 4 nights in this quiet,lovely hotel. Excellent location for Gare de Lyon station, and close proximity to variety of restaurants. Our room was small, but clean, with very comfortable bed. We stayed 4 nights in this quiet,lovely hotel. Excellent location for Gare de Lyon station, and close proximity to variety of restaurants. Our room was small, but clean, with very comfortable bed. We walked miles each day, so we appreciated the fitful sleep we had each night.(fyi- we used this hotel also as our home base to attend the Paris Saint Germain vs Olympic Marseille game while we were in Paris. It was an easy walk to Gare Austerlitz station to catch train to Parcs des Princes Stadium. Lots of restaurants within walking distance of the Parcs des Princes Stadium, approximately 10-15 min stroll depending upon how fast you walk. You'll notice lots of PSG fans in the neighbourhood of the Stadium prior to kick-off having a quick meal). The only minor criticism we had of Hotel Aurore was that we had asked that our safety deposit box in our room #403 be fixed (as the safety deposit box door was locked shut upon our arrival, and needed a technician to reopen it for our personal use) however, no one fixed the problem after we asked politely each morning of our 4 night stay. Therefore, we never had use of the safety deposit box. Disappointing, but otherwise we enjoyed our stay!

“Paris half-marathon!”

We came to Paris for the weekend to celebrate my wife’s birthday and run in the Paris half-marathon. The hotel was situated very near to the Gare du Lyon and it had good links to the metro too. Danica on reception was fabulous and really looked after us when news that the run had been cancelled came in. We headed to the Place de Bastille for drinks and food. A great area to explore! We would definitely return - a good location and a great price too!
