We have stayed here several times and the staff are so warm and welcoming. This is a typical small Paris hotel but the rooms have all been refurbished. The breakfasts are especially delicious and filling, and Hamid who works the breakfast is a national treasure. The best thing about the hotel is its location on the Ile St Louis. This a mere stone’s throw from Notre Dame and being in the middle of the Seine access to all of Paris’s attractions is merely a stroll across one of the bridges. And it is very quiet at night.

“Perfect location and warm, inviting atmosphere”

We arrived after a long overseas trip to be greeted by a warm reception, making us feel right at home. Accommodation was small but comfortable, breakfast was exceptional. Flowers for my birthday were a special surprise. Highly recommend.

This has been a delightful stay. The room (bottom floor with private courtyard) is small but beautifully appointed. Clean, comfortable, and so, so welcoming after a day spent wandering around rainy Paris. The bathroom is lovely with everything you need. The staff have been wonderful - also very welcoming, friendly and helpful. They happily made suggestions for nearby restaurants and even booked for us. Special mention must be made of our breakfast host - breakfast was generous and delicious. And we really enjoyed discussing languages with him. I should also mention that this hotel is in an excellent location. On the Isle St Louis in the centre of Paris, it is within walking distance of Notre Dame. It is also close to metro and train stations. And, course, many restaurants. This is being Paris, there is even a fruit and vegetable shop just down the street. We would definitely stay here on our next trip to beautiful Paris!

As you would expect with a venerable building in this part of Paris the rooms at this charming hotel are compact and a little short on storage space but clean, comfortable . . and cosy during our freezing early February stay. What really made the visit special though were the Deux Iles’ people, starting with Estelle, whose wonderfully warm and welcoming presence on reception made us feel totally at home from the outset. We enjoyed the complimentary coffee and cake and Estelle even organised zero-alcohol beers for me in the honesty bar. Des Deux Iles’location makes it a perfect base for enjoying Paris and if you feel weary from exploring there are great places to eat and drink on the lovely ile St Louis. We’ll certainly return.
