When we arrived at the hotel we received a very warm welcome from Irene at reception. We had a bad experience with a different hotel which was not as advertised. Irene was very helpful in providing the most comfortable accommodation for me and my pregnant wife. It was comfortable, clean and had good facilities and we had access to an open window (rooms are still quite warm) as air con is off during winter months. Would strongly recommend this hotel and will be back again for our next visit to Paris.

“Excellent location with Management downgrading the product!!!”

Excellent location with quite good rooms layouts but the facilities need an overall refurbishment. It seems the Management downgrades the available facilities like constantly downgrading breakfast services and quality (once one of the very good breakfasts in Paris), very cold in room (18.5 degrees) and A/C even when put to max of 26 did not make the room warmer than 20 degrees by the next morning, Satellite TV does that not offer European channels (like RAI etc.) and the bar and restaurant does not operate on weekends !!! Unlike the downgraded facilities, to our surprise the Hotel employees are really professional and they are added value like Mr Chaqib who had helped us beyond expectations during our recent stay between 01-05 December 2024. Staying in this Hotel for the last 15 years, with a frequency of once or twice a year, we can safely judge the deterioration of facility and services. Hope to see soon a reverse course in upgrading the facility and services offered.

Two nights stay in the most average hotel in Paris. The hotel and service are mediocre in every way possible. Pros: - Great location in central Montparnasse, very close to station, shops and restaurants. - Good location for public transport Cons: - Firstly the hotel appears clean but super dated, so the fixtures and fittings are worn and in desperate need of redecoration. The bathroom in particular needs a proper update. - It’s such a strange choice to remove the reception desk and replace it with whatever this is - it’s neither a welcome point nor a security station - it just looks weirdly temporary for a hotel which charges the price it does. The Novotel round the corner does this much more effectively. - The staff were super non-plussed about providing a proactive level of service. Everything seemed like an eye-rolling effort. - In the rooms there is great space but just a normal dining chair to sit at, so not so great to work in. Also there weren’t any sockets super close to the bed, so a bit useless for charging devices. (Although lots on the desk). I’m starting to wonder if AccorHotels in France are consciously cost cutting. It’s definitely evident here. A shame, this could be a really great hotel in a great location!
