“Friendly Central Hotel”
Two minutes from the Train Station and you are there, with a Supermarket opposite and a wide range of Restaurants a couple of streets away, the location couldn't be better. The staff at reception were so genuinely friendly, and not in a bland " have a nice day" way either. The breakfasts were great… more
Two minutes from the Train Station and you are there, with a Supermarket opposite and a wide range of Restaurants a couple of streets away, the location couldn't be better. The staff at reception were so genuinely friendly, and not in a bland " have a nice day" way either. The breakfasts were great value at 7 Euro but most importantly of all, the room was quiet. The local homeless people were not intimidating in any way and I never felt threatened. I would definitely stay here again.

I visited Frankfurt with my family recently. We stayed at the Carlton Hotel this was a price based booking. Please don't get me wrong, the hotel was ok for the price, just €45.00 per night and the €7.00 each for breakfast, which was good for the cost. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful, less the night porter who was a bit grumpy. Our room was ok. The bathroom needs a refurb, and there was a long hair in the clean bed. The problem this hotel has is the location. I parked up in.an adjacent street and then saw what was going on. I have been lucky enough to travel the world, but have never seen so many people openly taking drugs in broad daylight, the street was littered with used needles and there were at lesser 50 people smoking crack and other substances everywhere. There were druggies comatose on the floor. After we checked in I moved my car, but for the 3 days we were in the area we had to walk past these people. It's very sad but also worrying. Hotel fine, location bad. Sorry.
