“Good basic hotel - you get what you pay for!”
Great hotel on a budget. Let’s be honest 5 star it is not! But you get what you pay for, to be in the central location at the price the hotel charge its not going to be the best! Great hotel on a budget. Let’s be honest 5 star it is not! But you get what you pay for, to be in the central location at the price the hotel charge its not going to be the best! The staff were very friendly and helpful, both during check in and during our stay. The room we stayed in was 119 it could have been cleaner in the bedroom, it was dusty and the carpet has seen better days but the bathroom was clean, albeit tired. The bed was comfy, but could have done with another pillow, we did ask for more but there weren’t any available, however the man at reception did try to help. The area is a city centre and it is daunting when you walk out of the station and are met by a lot of people hanging around, I don’t think it was any worse than other cities I’ve visited. Top tip leave the station by the exit on the right, the hotel is just opposite. The hotel is in a great location for the Xmas markets which was the reason for our visit, it was a pleasant 20 minute walk along the river! Would I stay again? Probably not but it really wouldn’t take a lot to bring this hotel back up to 5 star reviews, it just needs a bit of tlc
