“Beware of Hotel booking errors...it may cost you a lot!”
I stayed at this hotel and found it to be convenient and well appointed for the rate one pays. I stayed at this hotel and found it to be convenient and well appointed for the rate one pays. However in my recent experience (May 2024) in the reservation process, an error was noted in the dates of the booking (OCT 2024 instead of Nov 2024). They would not in any circumstances, according to management, accommodate and correct the error of the booking and thus keeping the full amount on the deposit (more than 700$). Thus I highly recommend that one must think twice before they book with this institution/Hotel.

“Not the best experience”

As a frequent traveller in Germany I’ve often opted for the InterCity chain because of its solid quality and decent pricing. Hamburg is an expensive city hotelwise so I congratuled myself for finding a bargain 300€/2 nights in InterCity Hauptbahnhof. The room was spacious and clean and bed comfy, but: 1. The rooms are advertised having air conditioning, but the truth is they only have a ventilation system, so I recommend choosing another hotel in hot weather. In my opinion it’s disinformation to claim that the rooms are air-conditioned. We were given a standard room on the second floor, with a really busy road below the window so having the window open was out of the question. The room felt hot and stuffy (the fitted carpet was a bit dirty and I bet dusty). Luckily we were given another room higher up, facing the inner yard. 2. Breakfast was quite standard and plain, nothing special. I’ve had the best breakfasts in hotels of this chain so it was quite a disppointment. I wouldn’t have paid for it - there is a great bakery next to the hotel. This hotel is said to have four stars. I would take one of them out to be closer to the truth. For a couple of nights’ stay the hotel was ok.
