Maria is the BEST. A simple delight. A hard working nice woman who works hard to make sure your stay is the best. She delivered. A perfect place to get some rest after a long day sight seeing. A spotlessly clean room with ironed sheets. A nice view. A family room had 3 twin beds in one area and a nice full bed in the master bedroom. Nice eat in kitchen and lovely bathroom. The AC worked perfect and was even turned on before our arrival. There is a near by super market with just about anything you man need to cook in the nice kitchen area. Balcony with a great view of the ROCK .

Located at Gefyra, opposite Monemvasia. Our room had a view of the rock and the castle. Comfortable size, clean and in great condition. The mattresses were not too comfortable but that's not a reason not to visit again and again. The owners are very hospitable, very friendly and helpful. We definitely recommend and will definitely revisit. A 3.50 euro taxi ride to the castle was the best of option to avoid having to find parking.

“Wonderful stay”

Maria made our stay at the Venetia Apartments very special. The apartment was a very good size with a bedroom with a double bed, a second bedroom with three single beds in and both of these rooms have access to a very nice balcony with gorgeous views of the mountain and facing the other way views of 'the rock' too. Everything was spotlessly clean. There is a bathroom with a good shower and a separate kitchen with a table and four chairs too. If you want to do a bit of catering there is a small cooker with grill, rings etc. I didn't! I just used the kettle. It was very hot when we stayed and the air conditioning in both rooms was very welcome. (Included in the cost too!) Bedding and towels are beautiful. Maria will help you with anything and is such a kind lady. She gave us a map to help plan our days out, and very kindly provided us with some delicious Greek sweets. A lovely place to stay, very homely and welcoming and whilst it may seem to be a little out of town the walk is easy and not very many minutes. Also close to a couple of small beaches suitable for swimming and cooling off! Thoroughly recommend a visit here.

My 2 teen kids and I arrived in Gefira/Monemvasia after a long journey with no where booked on a windy and dark evening in October. After a search through the town we came upon Venetia apartments. Despite just one or two lights on we tried our luck and were greeted by the wonderful owner Maria and her husband. The welcome we had was fabulous (made more special when I found thet Maria had recently been ill) . We were shown a wonderful apartment on the first floor, a double room, kitchen and living room with separate beds/Sofas for the kids and the Room rate was very reasonable espcially as the previous night we'd paid much the same for a single room with 3 beds in a harbour side taverna in a different location . Maria couldn't have been more helpful. I think we were the only guests but she quickly had the room and beds made up for us. The location of the apartments is towards the north end of Gefira. It was peaceful, backing onto an olive grove but close enough to the Monemvasia rock to make it an easy 15/20min walk to look round. A great base for the area, lovely apartments and fantastic hospitality. Thank you Maria.

We were visiting the area for a special family event. We have two young children and wanted an apartment with the option to cook etc. We were delighted with our choice and will return for sure. The owners were so helpful and friendly. Maria made us feel like we were at home and did everything she could to make us comfortable. We had access to a cot bed and maria helped provide us with a few extras we didn't have with us. She even made us a local sweet - which tasted incredible! Our apartment was large and easily accommodated our young family with a balcony that had views of the sea. Everything was clean and we had clean towels provided along with a few basics on arrival. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment.
