“Going back a second time”

My husband and I visited Athens and stayed at this hotel for a week in May 2018 We were aware that this was a 3 star hotel and we were happy with the room and the bathroom. The breakfast was limited but perfectly adequate. The location of the hotel is central Athens, we walked everywhere, didn’t use public transport at all. We felt very safe in the area and never felt threatened. The staff were lovely and very friendly. We are going back to Athens In 2 weeks with our daughter and we have booked The Hotel Aristoteles. I hope that says it all.

“Misleading descriptions”
Just returned from a 3 night break and stayed here. The hotel is about a 20-30 min walk from Syntagma sq but it is on the outskirts of the red light district which we didn't know. You need to pass through this area if you want to get anywhere towards the acropolis etc. I would not have been happy i… more
Just returned from a 3 night break and stayed here. The hotel is about a 20-30 min walk from Syntagma sq but it is on the outskirts of the red light district which we didn't know. You need to pass through this area if you want to get anywhere towards the acropolis etc. I would not have been happy if we had kids with us. It is by no means modern as advertised and no evidence of modernisation since the 60s! We arrived quite late and were looking forward to a drink in the bar as advertised and maybe a snack in the dining room as advertised. They don't exist and again certainly not open all day as advertised. There was a dining room with the left overs of a bar but this was only for serving breakfast. Breakfast was as youd expect. Scrambled egg, mini hot dog sausages, toast, cornflakes, fruit ham and cheese. basic but as long as youre not fussy all is good. the rooms were basic but clean enough and the bed was incredibly comfortable! the shower however, although fantastically powerful was marred by the show curtain and rail which was on the wonk and so the shower curtain congregated in one corner keeping nothing dry. The room also had a fridge although im unsure if it worked and a TV that didn't work which was hanging onto the wall bracket by a cable tie. That said the hotel is ideally placed for walking almost anywhere you might wish to go to. Also it was cheap as chips and for what we paid id really only complain about the misleading descriptions (hotel and area) and amenities

“Not a luxury hotel”
Not a luxury hotel, but due to its good location it is quite good for exploring the city. The street side room is open to street noise. Breakfast is drab and poor. Metro and other transport are very close. Easy access to the airport. Several restaurants nearby.

Though the request of my tourist agency was cancelled, it was confirmed after I contacted the hotel. Because I used to be their guest and madam Maria made it possible for me to get reservation. Though the request of my tourist agency was cancelled, it was confirmed after I contacted the hotel. Because I used to be their guest and madam Maria made it possible for me to get reservation. That is why I will give 3 this time. Generally, the hotel looks better than 3 years ago. On the other hand, some rooms still don't have flat screen TV-s (but I had it last year). Many things are damaged but as soon as You ask for hrlp, You will get it. It seems the breakfast is more modest than before.
