“A home away from home in Athens”
The best thing about this hotel was the staff. Everyone there treated us like family. When we got there we had a problem figuring out the A/C and they were all over it. The best thing about this hotel was the staff. Everyone there treated us like family. When we got there we had a problem figuring out the A/C and they were all over it. When we left, they practically carried us to our taxi, which was already waiting for us. The room was comfortable. The location is a short walk to the Metro station, which we used extensive. Syntagma Square and the Acropolis were just a few stops away.

“Great hotel located in the city”

The Minoa Hotel, not to be confused with another Minoa Hotel (an informal beachfront hotel with a pool), is located in Athens. When we entered the hotel, the lobby was beautiful. We were greeted by a friendly host who gave us our room key and a bottle of cold water. It has a 3 person elevator. The rooms were a very good size. We had 2 rooms: 1 with a single and double bed, and 1 with two single beds. There is a closet with hangers, air conditioning and a small fridge (no iron). Something to note however, is the lack of plug in outlets (we only found 3 plugs). Luckily, we brought an adapter that allowed for 1 outlet to make many USB ports so we were still okay. The shower had a good water pressure and was a great temperature. The beds were very comfy. Some rooms have just a shower, and some have a bathtub. Downstairs, attached to the hotel, was a little Cafe ("Dimello"). It served delicious homemade snacks and sandwiches. It also had a variety of hot and cold drinks. The hotel is a 3 minute walk to the Athens Line 2 Metro (Metaxourghio. This is the stop located west of Omonoia Square). When you leave, you drop your key at the front desk for safety. The wifi was perfect.

“Nice hotel and a great location”
We had a wonderful experience. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and even called taxis for us when we needed them. The rooms were quaint and clean. It is a great location not far from many of the historical sites.

“Great value for money”
The area is a bit degraded, but hotel is very close to metro station, that allows you to reach the main attractions in few minutes. Hotel is simple with a bit old furniture and small bathroom, but clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Overall great value for money.
