“Budget Hotel in the heart of Amsterdam”
I booked this hotel fully aware that this is a centrally located budget friendly hotel in Amsterdam. Therefore I am rating it as it should be. Yes, amenities are bare minimum, no toiletries at all but we were provided with a hand soap, toilet papers and towels which are ok with us. I always bring m… more
I booked this hotel fully aware that this is a centrally located budget friendly hotel in Amsterdam. Therefore I am rating it as it should be. Yes, amenities are bare minimum, no toiletries at all but we were provided with a hand soap, toilet papers and towels which are ok with us. I always bring my own toiletries anyway. The room is a little tight with old carpet and yes insulation is poor, we can hear people talking loudly outside the street and banging of neighboring room doors. This is one of the original centuries-old buildings so expect no elevator and tight and steep stairs. We were lucky enough to be granted the room in 2nd floor at a very short notice as I forgot to request while booking. The front desk is very accommodating and friendly and even helps us check bus/metro sched to travel outside Amsterdam.
