Staying for a short bussiness trip in this hotel, smoothy handle by helpful staff during check in with Mr Dimas. Unfortunately during my stay i was experience losing my bag when i arrived at the hotel, i just ask the front office team Mr Dimas to check a video recorder during my arrival to make sure that my bag wasnt with me since i arrive at the hotel, it doesnt take any longger he just give me an information that my bag was not with me since i arrived, he suggest me to checked in the taxi or a place that i visit before arrive at the hotel, he offering a help to call the restaurant that i visit before to asking about my bag, fotunately my bag was there in the restaurant, he arrange a pickup delivery to take my bag from the restaurant to hotel. Even my stay isnt in long period but since the first time i checked in all the staff was deliver a great services, thanks to ms linda who help me during my checkout process. “Comfortable Experience”
The room was comfortable, and amenities was well set about in the room. It provides a warm and relaxed environment to rest in. The breakfast spread was well proportioned and covers the international spectrum. Recommended for anyone who wants to have a cozy environment to rest in.

I hope senior management have attention on below: The gym is getting old and equipment needs to be updated to follow other shangrila and local hotel like Westin. I hope senior management have attention on below: The gym is getting old and equipment needs to be updated to follow other shangrila and local hotel like Westin. Beside from equipments, the temperature of gym is way to high and air conditions does not work probably. All our visitor often complain the gym temperature and expect it to improve to reduce to 20degree or lower. Short term, we suggest to install few electric fans to create an air flow. The gym is not 5 star standard, shangrila surabaya should use Westin hotel as reference…. Beside from gym the food in sapore and Shang palace needs to improve to 5 star standard/ shangrila standard both hardware and software is embarrassing and the Shang place in surabaya shangrila don’t deserve the name as the outlet is nothing comparable with other Shang palace in the shangrila chain. Many furniture in restaurants is worn out and is no where near shangrila standard’s. Food is very inconsistent. We have feedback on above in multiple occasion with no action that is noticeable. The staff in horizon or other area is fantastic and is the single thing that is up to standard of shangrila. We believe above can easily solved by management and at the moment we have got no response and no improvements after multiple of feedback. We feel the top management in shangrila surabaya is not as efficient and well manage as other Shangrila. Br. Danny Tin Yau Chan
