“Limerick City Hotel is a great option for a City hotel”

This was our second hotel stop in Ireland and I am surprised it isn't rated higher. Everyone we spoke to at the hotel was so kind and helpful. The lobby decor was unique and it felt welcoming and fun as we walked in. At the front reception desk they gave us a map of the city to help us find things and explained really well how parking worked. When we first walked in from the car park and went up the lift a women who worked at the desk recommended the fist and chips from the hotel, which were in fact delicious. Before going to the bar/restaurant we checked out our room. The room we had was overlooking the turnabout and the water and was a perfect city life view. The room itself was quaint. It had a bed, table and two chairs and a desk area. There was not a safe in the room, but they so provide one downstairs. The restroom was small with a toilet beind the door, one sink, and a tub/shower with enough room for one person. It did not have any USB/C charging stations, so an adaptor is needed. The bed was comfortable enough and there were plenty of lights. My favorite part of the hotel was the accommodations. They had an excellent bar/restaurant that they gave us a $5 off voucher for per person per day. The food was excellent. I also enjoyed the breakfast deal, if you paid for it the day before you only paid $12 and could pick any entree with unlimited sides which included things like fruit and pastries. If I visit Limerick again I will definitely stay at Limerick City Hotel

We were not told this at all, it became obvious as we were finding our room, the smell of cooking in the corridors but also smoke was strong. It's under some construction also. Besides all that the staff were all very nice. We had dinner there and that was nice but nothing to shout about. The bed was very comfy and the room was spotless. I dont think I would stay again though.

“There are better options”
Why I would not return: * some of the staff members are not that friendly * no adapters for EU plugs * no umbrellas for guests * room too hot * noise during the night outside * you hear everything that is happening in the corridors Why I would come back: * good location * very good beds *… more
