“Ideal location as a tourist”
We’d booked our flights for a 6 day trip to Bologna for the beginning of October, before booking our hotel. So many hotels were already fully booked and we were pleased to get (an expensive) room at hotel Cavour. It transpired it was a festival weekend hence why the prices were double the norm - so… more
We’d booked our flights for a 6 day trip to Bologna for the beginning of October, before booking our hotel. So many hotels were already fully booked and we were pleased to get (an expensive) room at hotel Cavour. It transpired it was a festival weekend hence why the prices were double the norm - so it’s worth checking this before you go. The hotel was excellent - an easy 5 minute walk to the main square, churches, restaurants, shops etc. it’s down a small street and our room at the back was super quiet. A 20 minute walk to the train station with easy access to local cities - Modena, Parma, Ravenna, Florence, Venice etc. I’d suggest looking at the Trainline app, to book tickets which are needed before travel. Take the easy Marconi line to the airport (pay at the departure gate). Taxi from the airport was around € 25 -30. Our room had modern decor and fittings. The beds were really comfy. Very little wardrobe space. No kettle/ coffee machine - we took our own. A small fridge was handy. Bottled water supplied daily. We didn’t have breakfast although it was available included in the price.. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lift to all the rooms.

A hotel with apparently many different types of rooms in the middle of Bologa. We had a very large and very, very high standard room on the first floor. Not spectacular, but very good, excellent bed, view into the small alley (Via Gito), large bathroom with all amenities. The staff is friendly and breakfast offers a very good choice. All in all a very good value for money place.

I don’t write many reviews, but this hotel deserves my time and the credit it’s due. It’s a modern hotel in a fantastic location. The rooms are very comfortable and both of us appreciated the effective blackout curtains. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean. All in all, I was very impressed and will certainly recommend it to family and friends. There’s also the added bonus of a great restaurant on its doorstep and an excellent cocktail bar, Guero, a mere 3 minutes walk away.

“Historic hotel in a great location with large rooms and very comfortable bed.”
This historic hotel is in a great location in the old part of Bologna within walking distance to the main Street and easy walking to great restaurants. The room was large with very comfortable beds. Very good breakfast in the mornings. Good staff but not overly friendly.
