However after the phone shop and b4 the grocers there is an alley go down and u face a restaurant. Turn right and 20yds ahead u see a green door that’s the hotel! Friendly welcome By Bruno! Old building with typical Venetian style. Rooms We found to be perfectly adequate for what we required x Spotlessly clean. Breakfast was continental with great crispy rolls, Crossiant, cereal and juice! Close to both careers and academia water stops. Lots of restaurants and bars around also!

I had booked this hotel based on reviews, months before our trip. The host, Carlo was quick to reply to all my questions and reserve our room, room with private bath. When we arrived we took the vaporetto to the Accademia station and followed the directions from the YouTube video. Knowing that the restaurant "Al Vecio Marangon" was within steps from the hotel also helped because we saw it from one of the main streets. When we arrived we communicated with Carlo over the intercom and he gave us the instructions to our room and buzzed us in. He upgraded us to a larger room and it was lovely, very spacious with two great windows and views of a courtyard. The bed was comfortable and we slept very well, the bathroom was huge! The hotel was very clean. Every morning breakfast was served, which holds you up till midday and it's great. The hotel is located in a small quiet street. It's easy to get around we didn't feel any need to use the vaporetto, we walked every where. We really enjoyed our stay at Ca Centopietre and highly recommend it. Carlo was very helpful as well.

Can not recommend this place enough! Excellent location, away from the touristy centre but close enough to easily walk. Very friendly and accommodating host, Carlo was just lovely from start to finish! We arrived late on Friday night to a warm room and a welcome note on the bed. A bottle of wine from the mini bar was very affordable at €6 and breakfast, although not extensive, had plenty available and Carlo was always on hand with refills. Carlo was also very helpful with directions and gave us a city map which was invaluable as google maps does not like Venice! Well presented rooms that were cleaned and made up daily including fresh towels. Two lovely restaurants in very close proximity are Taverna San Trovaso and the restaurant opposite called Al Vecio Maragon (which if using google maps to find the hotel use this restaurant as your location because it doesn’t like the hotel name). Enjoy your stay! We did!

Staying at this hotel was a rollercoaster of emotion. We were in transit to the hotel via train, and Carlo, the owner, reached out to us by phone, to give us access to the hotel, since we were going to be arriving after hours. I didn't realize until later, but their website states that if we arrive after 7, we wouldn't be allowed to check-in. Our train was late, and we would have been entirely out of luck, had he not reached out to us. We were so thankful for this. However, we instantly overlooked how luck we were upon entering our room, as it was filthy. The toilet and the sink had been cleaned, but there was a thick layer of dust and dirt on everything, including the floor; and there was trash in the trash can from the previous tenants. There were scuff marks all over the walls, and dead corpses of mosquitoes stuck to the walls where they had been squished. Our instant reaction was to leave and find somewhere else; however, after a quick Expedia search, we found there we no other hotels available that were in our price range (under $400E). So we resolved that we would at least have to spend that night. So we decided to clean the room ourselves. My fiancé got a hand towel wet and wiped the floors...we were both more than disgusted by how dirty the towel was afterward. The room was also hot, and it appeared the AC unit on the wall didn't work, so we opened the window...bad idea. We had no idea that mosquitos were so bad in Italy. I woke up the next morning with 7 bites. At breakfast, we met Carlo, who was so over the top nice and accommodating, we started wondering how we could ever give him a bad review. I will also note that the breakfast was excellent. The second night was also rough, even though we didn't open the windows, there were still mosquitoes in our room (which led to more bites to wake up to the next morning), and it left the room rather hot. We asked at breakfast about the AC, which we found out was our error. There was a remote that we didn't know about, that controlled the AC. There was also a plug we didn't know about that zapped the mosquitos. From that point, with our self-cleaned room, the AC was working, and no more mosquitoes, our stay became quite pleasant. The location was very good to everything, the breakfast was great, and Carlo was the best host. For future tenants, know how to use the AC and the Mosquito plug your first night. Also, if they would give the room a deep clean and take a Mr. Clean magic eraser to the walls, this place would be absolutely perfect.
