“Center of town, but all we heard were cowbells.”

We were very happy with this hotel. It is in the center of town, yet tucked away and free of town noises, and all we could hear were cowbells tinkling from an adjacent meadow. The room had a balcony with a view of the mountains, and a garden with even more views. (The garden would be a great place for children to unwind, by the way.) The room was very clean and comfortable and attractive and the service was excellent too. Breakfast was very good, and after a bad experience with another hotel's restaurant, we decided to take half board at Miramonti. That turned out to be very good as well, and they were able to accommodate our diets. I highly recommend Miramonti. It excels at the basics.

The hotel Miramonti is set in a side road just behind the centre of town. The location is great and from here it is easy to catch a bus to any of the 4 main base stations, to shop or to go to a pub. Our rooms were on the first floor, newly refurbished, warm and comfortable with a balcony facing the mountains to the East. Breakfast and dinner were taken in the dining room and the service and food at both was excellent. The hotel is very well run by Barbara and Peter and the rest of their team who all went out of their way to make this a very special holiday. We usually go for package holidays, but this positive experience will make us think twice in future. You don't normally get this level of service, quality and care and as we have realised, can also miss out on unspoiled gems like San Martino di Castrozza! The skiing was perfect for our requirements with quiet and well groomed slopes of varying difficulty interspersed with a range of attractive mountain restaurants. Some of the lifts are older slower chairs, which on the plus side, keeps the slopes even quieter and is in keeping with the pace of the skiing. However, a note to the lift company would be that a couple more of the take-off points could be mechanised for increased comfort (Scandola for instance), though the lift staff do work very hard to assist at top and bottom! Easy drive from Verona, but check the status of Passo Rolle if coming in from the North and West. If in doubt, come in from the South, it is only a few minutes longer...

I mention this very good hotel. It's very close to the centre but far from the noisy roads. We stayed in a large room, with a terrace graced of an unbearable view of the mountain "cimon della pala". The room was always clean and comfortable, all stuff worked and no frills. Our half board plan offererd a daily choice between 3 entries and 3 main courses, plus salads and dessert. The breakfast offered a very wide choice between salt&sugar. Special mention to the original recipes, the plates design and the food quality, all home made. The staff was very nice, discreet and willing to accomodate almost every menu change requested by our little devil. All these factors contributed to our very relaxing holiday, despite the unfavourable weather conditions. Highly reccomended.
